I've worked in the building trade for 15 years as a tiler AMA!

How did you get into in the beginning?

If you agree to take on a job do you always turn up to do the work? Or if something better comes along do you just ignore that job and do the better paid one instead?

How do others on a building project treat you? Do you have to deal with any sexism?

Is it a difficult trade to learn and can it be learned on a short few days course?
I keep joking to people I’m going to get a ‘man’s job’ and have seen a course near me where you can go and learn.

Is it a well paid trade and do you find people more or less keen to hire you because you are a woman?
