why did you do it? Did you get what you wanted out of it?

Yes Mmzz. I wanted to move abroad and just happened to notice an online advertisement looking for people who might want to take part.

I ended up buying a house.

But why did you want to make the move abroad on TV? Lots of people do it, but very few choose to be filmed doing it. What was the appeal?

Was it all “we need you all up at 5am so that we can film you crying in front of videos of your relatives saying they don’t want you to move” ?

I guess the appeal was to have a hand hold for the initial stages. That the TV company might help to make the research a little bit easier. That they might find a great house that I might not find myself.

And do you live in it now?

Yes I live abroad now but not in one of the houses I viewed on the programme.

Close willthey. It was 'We need you ready to leave at 7am to catch the best of the light and to get enough footage'. Finishing at 7pm but then they wanted 5 days and due to work I could only commit to 4 so we were a day short.

Naming the programme might be a little too outing crafty. Sorry.

Did they show you more houses than they showed on the program?

The presenter was friendly which is good because at first you do feel a bit weird.

It was fun at times but I wouldn't do it again so not that much fun.

Did they do any checks beforehand? Such as income/agreements in principle for mortgage etc??
