If your child isn’t quite ready for a jumperoo and you’re looking for a good baby bouncer to gently cradle and entertain your child with soothing motions, the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer might be what you’re looking for.

After testing the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer for a month with her four-week-old daughter and 21-month-old son, parent-tester and mum of two, Kelsey found it to be a comfortable, high-quality product that is easy to use. She rated it highly in key areas, including assembly, safety, stability, ease of use, and overall comfort and design.

Kelsey shares, “I really like the overall design of this bouncer. It’s breathable thanks to the cool mesh fabric, easy to remove and wash and comes with the Cozy Seat Liner which is ideal for babies who need extra cushioning.”

Some standout features of the UPPAbaby Mira include:

  • It moves in sync with your baby’s natural motions, providing a gentle and soothing bounce

  • As children grow, it transforms seamlessly from a bouncer into a toddler seat

  • The padded harness is adjustable

  • Adjusting the height is super easy, you can do it from the front without any fuss.

While Kelsey loved the thoughtful design of the UPPAbaby Mira and how well it worked for her daughter, she felt it wasn’t quite sturdy enough for her active 21-month-old son.

How we tested the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer

  • Four weeks of using the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer multiple times a week with a four-week-old and occasionally with a toddler

  • Used for a few short daytime naps

  • Carried around and used in all rooms of the house

During testing, Kelsey found the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer incredibly helpful, offering her a safe place to leave her daughter for a few minutes at a time while she tackled tasks around the house. It supports her daughter in sitting more upright to take in her surroundings while awake, and the three recline options with easy adjustability make it perfect for daytime naps.

Kelsey’s 21-month-old son tried it out too, using it to relax while reading, but he didn’t stay in it for long and seemed a little too big, even though he’s within the age range for the bouncer. While it might not feel as sturdy for older kids compared to the BabyBjörn Bouncer Balance Soft, Kelsey found the Mira just right for her younger daughter.

What is the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer like to assemble?

Kelsey found it very straightforward to use, adding, “I took out of box and it was already assembled, so all I had to do was adjust the bouncer height and it was ready to be used.”  The bouncer that Kelsey tested didn’t come with the Wonder Wheel or Forest Fun toy bar, so she didn’t add it onto the bouncer, but assembly is simple as the toy bar is designed to clamp onto either side of the bouncer, just where the harness sits.

Plus, the bouncer folds flat in seconds making it easy to store or transport. Its lightweight design and built-in carry handle allow parents to conveniently move it from room to room or take it along when travelling.

How does the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer look?

The UPPAbaby Mira has a lovely, thoughtful design that’s both practical and stylish. The mesh fabrics are soft, breathable, and reversible, with an extra soft white lining that makes it cosy for little ones. Kelsey mentioned, “The sturdy base with the height adjuster at the front is so handy,” and she loved the natural wood detail on the adjusting handle, which adds a stylish touch.

The neutral colours and simple, modern design mean it blends nicely with any décor, and the T-bar style safety harness can be adjusted to fit snugly or more loosely. The non-slip base gives it a secure feel too.

The UPPAbaby Mira is available in White Grey Chenille, Oat Melange and Sage Green Melange.

Is the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer safe and stable?

Definitely. The UPPAbaby Mira feels really safe and stable, with several certifications like GREENGUARD® Gold (for low chemical emissions), JPMA (for child product safety), and FSC (for responsible wood sourcing) that show it’s been through rigorous safety testing.

Kelsey said, “Although it’s heavier than other bouncers like the Chad Valley Jungle Friends Bouncer (which only weights 1.6kg) the UPPPAbaby Mira has a stable and sturdy base, and the weight makes it feel like it won’t topple over,” says Kelsey.

The adjustable height levels are easy to switch but stay securely in place while in use, and the front safety harness can be tightened to fit snugly. Kelsey says that he gentle bounce is just right - calming without startling babies and the seat keeps them cocooned and secure, even in the lie-flat position.

What is the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer like to use day-to-day?

It’s great! Kelsey says her daughter loves the bouncer. “The overall fit, adjustments for seat angles, and ability to tighten the harness that holds her in makes this a very snug but comfortable bouncer. The plush insert is a great addition that allows you to make it extra cosy while I have the option to remove it and expose a mesh back liner to stay cool in warmer weather,” she explains.

“The weight of the bouncer gives us confidence that she can't knock herself over despite the angle she might be set at although it does make it a bit heavy to carry around. Being able to fold it in half/flat is really useful for moving around the house. The adjustment handle is pretty straightforward and is quick to adjust, but also has a safety component that would make it unlikely that the seat could change positions. I can easily bring it along wherever I go and trust that my daughter is safe, secure, and happy,” she says.

To transform the bouncer into a toddler seat (toddler mode), there are just a few steps:

  1. Unbutton the harness and unclip the seat currently set in infant mode.

  2. Reverse the seat so the toddler side faces you.

  3. Secure the seat by clipping it back into place and buttoning it at the bottom.

  4. Reattach the Cozy Seat Liner by fastening the buttons on either side.

  5. Adjust the recline to a fully upright position (note: it will still have a slight angle).

How easy is the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer to clean?

It’s incredibly easy, which is a huge bonus for parents. The fabric is removable and machine washable, and the surfaces can be wiped down effortlessly. Plus, the cosy insert can be taken out without needing to disassemble the entire bouncer.

Is the UPPAbaby Mira bouncer good value for money?

Kelsey says: "It’s definitely on the pricier side at over £100, but you can really see where the money goes. The quality and feel of the bouncer are fantastic—it’s beautifully designed, safe, and durable. Plus, unlike some others, it lasts well into toddlerhood, which makes it really good value in the long run."
