Huge Black Friday savings across ghd straighteners (and curling tongs, a heated brush and more)

In an ever-changing world of beauty fads, the ghd Original remains a constant. The best news? This Black Friday they are reduced down to just £100 across a range of retailers.

As many a Mumsnetter knows, you can't go wrong with a pair of trusty ghds when it comes to hair styling. More than just a styling tool, these iconic hair straighteners have become a beauty ritual passed down from mother to daughter, beloved by both trend-setting Gen Z influencers and the women who first discovered their magic over two decades ago.

While the originals are not the lowest price we've ever seen them this Black Friday (at £100 they're a smidge over their lowest ever price of £90 back during the July Prime Day event earlier this year) they're still a good 28% off the RRP of £139, making them a good bargain to pick up either as a Christmas gift for a loved one or if you're looking for a pair yourself.

We've seen a wave of great beauty deals this Black Friday already, including a whopping 73% off these rival hair straighteners from Remington and a whole range of excellent bargains from Boots and Argos as well as Amazon.

MoneySavingExpert reckons the GHD straighteners are a proper bargain, so I've given in and bought a set for DD for her A-Level results day. She's had basic straighteners for 4 years but borrowed her friend's GHD ones for Prom and her hair looked amazing.

I've got crazy thick frizzy hair, and GHDs have been responsible for keeping it straight and sleek for the past 20+ years at least. I'm only on my second set in that time, so I'm happy with that "cost per use".I've no doubt there will be other tools out there that do a good job, but I'm certainly not planning on trying any of them when these work perfectly for me and my hair.

Whether you're a ghd stalwart looking to replace an old pair you've had since 2006 (yes, they really do last that long!) or new to the world of heat-styling, you really can't go wrong with a pair of Original ghds.

Featuring a sleek design, smooth ceramic plates and a sleep mode for added peace of mind, it's no wonder ghd hair straighteners are the styling tool of choice for thousands. Thanks to the single-zone heating technology, they leave your locks smooth and glossy, and the swivel cord means you won't get tangled up when trying to perfect the perfect curl.

Having owned a few pairs myself over the last 20 years (I currently own the original, the wide and the curve) and using them to style my hair straight, curly and wavy, I can personally say they are probably the best beauty purchase I've ever made.
