I think I recognize the one on the far right, second photo down, but not going to say it because I'm not 100% sure. Looks VERY familiar...and the kind of man who would be in that room.

Trans people are completely normal human beings, with all the variety of cis. They deserve protection from conversion practices.

I mean this is really quite frightening. The seething hatred here for perfectly ordinary individuals, stereotyping them as angry and weird, denying them personality or basic humanity.

It's actually really upset me. Reminds me of the kind of hate my son gets, just for being himself. Not for his actions, just his androgyny.

Such pointless bigotry achieves absolutely nothing. It's just laughing at difference. I cannot imagine having so much hatred in my heart for other people. What a waste of time, when there is so much genuine evil to be fought in the world.

Love, i think you are missing the point. This movement is run by men, for men, and silencing women who are concerned about it is patriarchal in nature.

The women mean well, i think. But i would definitely say the movement benefits males more than females in general. It’s just like the article says, women are conditioned to cater to male needs before their own.

I tried so hard to be like those women, but i just can’t. I’ve seen girls talk about sexual assault making her not want to be a girl anymore and people just telling the girl that she “must actually be a trans man” if she hates her sexualized body so much. It’s terrifying.
Telling a traumatized girl that she should stop being a girl if she doesn’t want to be traumatized anymore? Feminism has been completely co-opted. None of these liberal women know what feminism is.

That's not really an excuse when it comes to pushing this ideology. No, i don't forgive Nicole Sturgeon, Julia Gillard, Nadia Whithome, Stella Creasy etc because "they mean well". They are responsible for the choices they make.

The article I posted never said anything about women being conditioned to cater to men. That is your opinion (one I don't happen to agree with although I'm not a feminist).

This is what it's about, for these men it's a way of gaining access to power on a global level, the UK is just a stepping stone for them.

There's plenty of blame to go around and these women deserve to have their fair share placed at their feet, just because they're, maybe, unwitting footsolders for the patriarchy, and that's a big maybe on unwitting, it doesn't let them off the hook.

I'm not surprised that women's are the ones who mostly support this ideology. I don't think it has anything to do with patriarchy or catering to men.

Women support gender ideology more often men because they tend to be more left wing leaning. And being left wing (especially far-left) is strongly correlated with being in favour of so-called "trans rights". Obviously exceptions exist, but political affiliation is a pretty big predictor of your position on trans issues.

Other people may know more about this: but as I recollect, I don't think the Communist Party support gender ideology. And some of the Conservatives did/ do support it. So it has never been a straightforward Left-Right split, in the UK at least.

In the context of reducing womanhood to a fantasy a man can have about himself (and vice versa for manhood), I'm not sure what "Left" and "Right" even mean! One one level it feels like rampant consumerism - identities as commodities that anyone can appropriate or discard in pursuit of an "authentic lifestyle".

Well you must admit, a person would have to be some kind of weird and angry to issue threats to women and advocate them being “raped with splintery rolling pins” just for refusing to say men are not women. It’s the same kind of weird as Andrew Tate et al think. They believe women are second class citizens who should not have any rights, and exist to be props to men and I think the TRA are of the same I’ll. two sides of the same shit biscuit.

When people say things like this, my mind always goes to the nuns who ran the Magdalen Laundries, and mother and Baby Homes in Ireland.

They weren’t doing it for the good of the women and children. The women and children were treated with cruelty, and quite a few children were sold off into adoption. A sort of pre-surrogacy trade in children and babies. Those children that survived the awful conditions in which they were kept, that is. They were footsoldiers in, and unholding a system that punished women and children, whilst men went on with their lives unbothered.

For example the vast majority of conservatives MPs are against gender ideology but there are a few that support it (andrew boff from the tories for example). The link between political affiliation and position of trans ideology is there.

There's an awful lot of people who promote this ideology are self-identified as being on the left, they claim they're the liberals and the democrats. Plaid Cymru in Wales, who are all gun ho for this stupidity, claim they're a party of the left, as do Labour. Despite the fact that there are people who might be considered to be on the typical Right, it's really difficult not to see this ideology as being left leaning.

It might be controversial but I see the current labour UK party as more moderate or centre-left. Lib dems and greens are left-wing (with the greens being more extreme). If I met a lib dem or greens voter I would assume they would probably be pretty pro trans.

That's what the statistics say. A woman is more like to vote for a leftwing party (lib dem/greens) than a right wing one (tories/reform)

Also younger and university educated women are even more likely to vote for a left wing party.

I don't know about controversial, but I'm not seeing it myself, the attack on the EA and the guidance to the SC clarification would appear to be headed by Labour politicians, even if the Lib Dems are taking the lead in quite a lot of it.

I agree the Lib Dems, Greens, PC, SNP represent the loony left but Labour are still the powerhouse for the energy behind this batshittery. The OP would support this aren't all the men on the 'manel' Labour?
