Adolescent gender clinics closing down in the US

According to the NY Times

"At least six major hospitals across the country have recently agreed to stop providing gender-transition treatment to adolescents to end a wide-ranging Justice Department investigation into potential legal violations related to billing practices and consumer fraud.

"The <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/i8egd/www.nytimes.com/2026/05/15/us/detransition-transgender-clinic.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">wave of settlements includes <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/i8egd/www.nytimes.com/2026/09/18/nyregion/transgender-adolescents-nyu-langone-trump.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">hospitals in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, states that have been supportive of access to the treatments. The hospitals have agreed to pay fines, and several will provide free medical care to former patients who wish to treat side effects or to 'detransition.'"

There's also an article in The Federalist that says that "some of the doctors who practiced in those hospital-based facilities have moved to their own privately managed operations, continuing to perform the same types of mutilating surgeries and hormonal interventions."

Interesting times.

So, they're not shut down because they're ghouls abusing "first, do no harm".
No, they're shut down because of the receipts.

The thing that that article misses is that if the hospitals and drs had done nothing wrong when it comes to billing and/or treatment then they wouldn't have agreed to what amounts to a plee deal they would have fought the criminal charges in crt.
The hospitals and Dr's know that they have actively harmed children
