Known misogynist handed a sexual harm prevention order.

Victor scowls at the camera in a police custody picture. He has a short scruffy beard and thin scraggly hair which falls over his face.

Cheltenham incel who 'posed risk' to women handed harm order

Victor Valentine is banned from using incel websites and loitering outside women's toilets.

Pretty sure I'd cross the street and then move to another town if I saw him in public, even if this hadn't been publicised. He looks malevolent to his core.

Looks are not a reliable arbiter of intent, good or ill.

Some of the most prolific offenders coming to mind (like Epstein, Savile, Harris, al Fayed, ...) relied on their polished image to carry out their crimes.

By contrast, Christopher Jeffries was vilified in the tabloid media because he looked odd until, fortunately for the victim's family and himself, the police arrested the actual criminal.

I've never seen someone look so evil!

I saw this poundshop Vigo the Carpathian described in comments elsewhere as "bald, with long hair", and I cackled!

(I am also relieved he has been prevented to some extent, not enough, but some)

Part of it will be making sure he is recognised so that women can avoid him.

Well, he looks like a pleasant sort!

I wonder how he would have been treated, prosecuted, punished, and media-reported if he had identified as a woman?

(Actually, don't tell me, let me guess. This could take some serious contemplation. I could be a while...)

I wonder if this is in response to the other man who killed 2 women and assaulted countless others after the police downgraded his risk to minor.

'A man with a history of unprovoked violence towards women who was described in court as a "self-proclaimed misogynist" has been given a sexual harm prevention order.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said Victor Valentine, from the St Paul's area of Cheltenham, posed a risk to women in the town and the order was a "preventative measure".

It bans the 29-year-old from using any device with access to the internet unless he notifies police and also prevents him entering or loitering near female public toilets or changing rooms.

As well as a history of violence, Gloucestershire Police said Valentine had persistently breached civil orders placed on him. He has not been convicted of any sexual offences.

Det Sgt Paul Howell from Gloucestershire Police's public protection unit said Valentine was "well-known for his misogynistic hostility and violence towards women".

He said the order would "reduce Valentine's ability to further explore his ideology and gives police the opportunity to monitor his behaviour in the community to help reduce his risk of further offending".'
