Assuming every crime involving a female suspect is secretly a trans woman until proven otherwise isn't "questioning the news". It's an unhealthy obsession. Please don't exaggerate.

The crimes discussed are those that are rarely committed by women.

Personally, I would suggest that many of the men who experience sudden onset post arrest gender dysphoria are pulling a fast one, but you can make your own judgement on that.

All we care about is accurate reporting of sex.

Used to work in inpatient. Never underestimate the capability of a woman completely divorced from reality. They can actually be incredibly hard to subdue and very quick.

It amazes me at how overly sensitive activists get.

The thread simply questions media narrative and due to repeated past occurrences. Strange that when people have questioned whether a man is responsible, you've assumed man = trans woman.

In this instance it appears that the police and media reporting were correct. But once bitten, twice shy.

The police often lie about this.

See this media release from Greater Manchester Police about Naomi, actually Nathan, O'Brien.

Referred to as a woman, using the pronoun"she". No mention of the fact that the offender is male.

It does seem logistically unlikely. ‘She’ would have to stab and remove the scissors to go onto the next person - that would take a lot of strength - I await further info but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a bloke in a frock.

Men who have committed violent crimes have been described by the press and the police as women. If a suspect for example is reported as black when in fact they're white, it is dangerous misinformation for the public at large. It also affects statistics for those communities and a whole host of other issues. This should concern everyone and is in no way a trivial matter.

You're right to raise the issue. There's so much evidence of the lack of effective mental health support. I know this area and although there's always been a cohort of mentally vulnerable / homeless people living there, the numbers have escalated massively in recent years.

What is worth noting is how much damage has been done to the social contract by allowing the pretence that sex change is possible. The fact that the media, the police, the NHS & politicians have spouted lies for so long, often using bullying and threats to compel others to comply is a massive problem

It's positive that the BBC are creeping back to honest reporting after their public shaming for this. We now need the police to reacquaint themselves with their role in society and abandon their ties with queer theory lobby grpups and other extremists. And all the rest to follow.

Sadly, these problems will get worse. Mental health services are being decimated almost weekly where I work. There is less and less support out there. The housing support staff who work there deserve medals.
