I'll take anything this mouthpiece for Polanski and Corbyn says under massive advisement.

I'm wondering if all this, plus Reform's inability to choose candidates that as soon as night follows day aren't shown to be two sandwiches short of a picnic, will lead to business as usual at the next GE, we'll naturally gravitate back to 2 to 3-party politics.
Remember, at the height of FarageMania, 2015, 2019 and 2024, he's never picked up more than 4.5m votes, and the Greens likely will implode before threatening any genuine breakthru.
Maybe the smart money should be on voters getting fed up with both insurgent parties and resorting to normal, Tory v Labour with a side order of LDs, SNP.

Antisemitism on the left has been around for a very long time, and you don't have to have read Robert Wistrich on its history to see that it's never gone away. Leftists have become very skilled at unseeing this because they've convinced themselves that antisemitism is by definition a right wing phenomenon. [1]

I think a breaking point for me was Corbyn's leadership of Labour, specifically the Luciana Berger affair. (I'm not close to Luciana but we have mutuals, so I knew lots of the detail.) I witnessed Lindsey German, who is not a stupid woman, tie herself in rhetorical knots to deny that Corbyn or his supporters had anything to do with this: you see, all the threats and antisemitic abuse directed at Berger came from the far right, while Corbyn fans were only criticising her disloyalty to Dear Leader. Lindsey had her narrative and by jingo she was going to push it no matter how distant from the truth it was.

I watched Corbynite ganzer macher James Meadway, also not a stupid person, spend years not only denying there was antisemitism in Labour, but loudly mocking anyone who said there was. As soon as Corbyn was gone and Starmer was leader, he was offering himself as an honest broker who could sort out the party's antisemitism problem. Now he's in the Greens, establishing himself as one of Zack's policy guys.

Let's not forget all the Palestine marches they have been on, where they can't have failed to hear Muslim crowds doing the Khaybar chant, and I don't believe for an instant that experienced political operators like Corbyn and McDonnell and Abbott and John Rees don't know exactly what that means.

I can't tell you how much contempt I feel for a lot of these people. I know it's natural to want to downplay the problems in your political tribe, but blatantly lying about it for years is another thing.

This is getting to be a serious problem for the Greens, with their influx of Momentum types adding to the cranky fringe the party already had, and I don't think Zack has much space left where he can claim to be naive rather than dishonest.

And of course they'll come after him in the end.

[1] There is also antisemitism on the right of course - it's very easy to find on X, particularly among Rupert Lowe supporters, and (thinly veiled) among the young men he's hired to run his party. I'm not sure what will happen when they discover what a massive Israel supporter Rupert is.

Baroness Faulkner talking about intolerance against Jewish people sounds eerily similar to another issue…. Moreover, our public institutions, the police, the Crown Prosecution Service, the NHS and education are among those where political ideology has taken over and must be rooted out.

What is in the water of the UK that we have so many crazy politicians and so many crazy voters?
