Polanski is being interviewed on R4 Today by Nick Robinson later this morning as part of the party leader rounds. I can't actually remember if they did Ed Davey. He's successfully supplanted any media attention they'd normally get.

It's not clear if the candidate who uses the name Real Anne Frank is still standing though

It was very noticeable in tonight’s news that the young people found guilty of breaking a policewoman’s back with a sledgehammer during a £1m vandalism spree were all middle class. They made a point of saying one was an Oxbridge graduate.

Luxury beliefs and luxury crimes, working class youngsters tend to have concerns much closer to home.

I don't mind there being a class aspect in politics - every party should try to look after its voters [1] - but there's something quite funny about the left-of-centre parties pretending to speak for the lower classes that they very obviously don't belong to. It's the Harriet Harmanisation of politics.

Mrs Thatcher used to ask every day what her government was doing for White Van Man. I have no problem with this approach to politics.

[1] Of course the latter-day Conservative Party was in government for 14 years and did bog all for its natural supporters. There's a moral to that story.

It's the same in my town, all the 'social justice' initiatives are all in one area, and that area ain't the leafy suburb area.

I would so love for the Global Left/Open Borders types to have all the 'inclusive' chickens come home to roost on their door steps for a change.

I think a lot of luxury elite politics is all about what they want to happen to other people. Whilst their lives remain the same. It's easy to advocate for open borders when it's not your children being raped by immigrant men from countries where women and girls don't have human rights.

And yet, the hate speech aimed at those of us Women in GPEW was left totally unchecked, nay even totally supported by the ruling group!

But that is "somehow" different.

Wonder why?

Wasn't there a whole lot of gnashing teeth from liberals when a few years back, Ron DeSantis governor of Florida bussed illegals from the border all the way to prime Migrants Welcome! areas in upstate NY, upper class The Hamptons etc?
What we found was that migrants were very definitely not welcome.

Ah so finally admitting that when they say they want 'open borders' they mean only for the poors working class areas, knowing that it won't impact on them because their areas are 'too expensive' for immigrants.

In other words, Reform have forced them to admit they only mean for their policies to impact on other people and not on them.

It is a genius move by Reform and really exposes Green hypocrisy.

Is this Eleanora unit part of the Global Left Cabal, or one of the Far Leftoids that got kicked out of Labour.

Either way, this is not a person I would want in charge of a country, this is the sort of person who disappeared all those people in Northern Ireland, Argentina and all the many other country's.

People need to find the spine to stand up to this sort of crap now, before it's too late.

That's a very very milquetoast statement from Lucas, which is exactly what I'd expect from her - it could be boiled down to "I'm sorry some of our candidates were caught out, but honestly guv, it was only a handful of them and this is a society wide problem, let's turn it into a teachable moment".

This "Eleanora" character has been going in for edgelord commentary on Jews for a while but perhaps, like Little OJ and Mehdi Hasan, he's glad to have Zack around as a human shield.

Thanks for the link, I mean of the 'sins of the fathers' and all that, but I find it a bit hard to stomach that the daughter of someone who robbed his poverty stricken country blind and is descended from people who were slavers has the gall to call for repatriations from this country.

All though I save all my 'dislike' for the absolute arses who will vote for her. 🤯

I'm increasingly noticing that the Green/Reform divide looks like a class one, tbh.

The latest Reform policy of placing immigrant detention centres in Green areas led to responses from Green supporters along the lines of 'you can't possibly afford to put centres in our areas, they are far too expensive'.

I wonder if she was named for Marie-Antoinette.

Unfortunately there are too many 'progressive' Brits who haven't learnt from the past, and don't recognise that there are lesson's to be learnt from history. They're too busy patting themselves on the back because they're making history, without realising there making exactly the same mistakes that were made in the past.
