Bash Back are about as unsocialist as you can get. But as the Left seems to be largely populated by idiots these days...

So according to that interview, Bash Back is anyone who says they’re Bash Back, & they’re telling people to both use their rage and be careful. And they’re highly offended at any suggestion they may be connected to Ann Widdecombe’s murder.

But if the murderer, or any violent criminal, claimed to be part of Bash Back then he or she automatically would be, according to Bash Back’s own rules.

They lost me very early, but the insistence that BASH BACK is non-violent failed to convince. The all-caps, and the word bash, and the image with the balaclava-wearing hammer-wielder need a bit of explaining away.

I doubt they are even trans themselves: just adolescent male thugs such as every generation has had to deal with all my lifetime.

Well, yes. It's the same as the rules for gender ID, isn't it? If you say you're a woman, you are a woman. If you say you're part of Bash Back, you are part of Bash Back.

I vaguely remember that this was a modus operandi used by the Animal Liberation Front back in the day. People could commit acts of terror and say they were part of ALF, without actually being formal members.

On this, they are 100% correct.

People have educated themselves. Lawyers have considered the law, the NHS has considered the evidence, the government has considered what 'trans women are women' actually means.

And as soon as people apply logic, the issues reveal themselves.

It's also a tactic of ISIS and/or Daesh - commit an atrocity against Westerners and claim it's on behalf of ISIS or they'll claim if for you.

I'm interested that everyone else assumes they are male thugs and my first thought was that they are mean girls trying to disguise their femaleness. Hiding behind the written word, talking big, trying to be part of the cool gang.

That's a take that hadn't occurred to me, I think perhaps because they actually have committed crimes, which mean girls generally avoid by only talking the talk but not walking the walk. Drive a victim to suicidal despair rather than throw them off the top floor of a car-park, as it were.

What crimes though? They haven't thrown anyone off a roof afaik. They've ragged a few prefects' studies vandalised some office buildings and done some cyber sabotage.

I realise that if they're all men they'll be thrilled that I think they're being girly, but - I think they're a bit girly. Trying to stir up a mob with that 'follow me, I'm right behind you' stuff is beloved of cowards of both sexes.

You may just be right at that. I'm not sure it makes any difference in real terms, though. They are still threatening violence and committing crimes. (Vandalism is a crime. Actually it can be any one of several crimes, depending what it is that is vandalised and how.)

I agree, threatening dangerous criminal vandals are a bad thing, regardless of sex. I was just a bit surprised at the universal assumption that they were men.

Their behaviour and rhetoric does seem somewhat male in flavour, perhaps. As does the whiney "we don't want to hit you but you are making us do it" narrative, which the name does somewhat underline.

A cricket invasion doesn't feel as violent as smashing windows. It's disruptive and annoying but doesn't have the same violent feel as smashing windows.

Crickets are not dangerous, either, though in quantity they may be alarming. Broken glass, on the other hand, kills people every year.
