Womens March group changes name

I guess that means the "Woman's March" name is now available to be used for a march by and/or for actual women?

So Intersectionalists for Everyone and Against All Injustices Except For Specifically Female People and Specifically Female Injustices get a more appropriate name to march under in support of their cause, and Feminists get a more appropriate name to march under in support of ours.

Sounds like a Win/win to me!

Happy they are marching for what they think they maybe believe in and are no longer pretending it’s anything to do with women who are half the population and have all sorts of political beliefs but aren’t men

They are just outright admiting they dont support women and girls. Excusing abuse by one of their volunteers/organisers because nobody came forward.

Intersectional uprising is an excellent name. A pretentious name for people who enjoy navel gazing and claim to want people to work together but want to uprise against “them” the vaguely defined bad people. I do wonder about the sanity of people who spend their lives organising these sorts of pointless nonevents

I think though sort of lost track, that they have changed the facebook setting because there was still some tiresome women who thought they could question the facebook page owner.

Looking back on the whole sequence of events an individual posted about wanting a demonstration about women's rights thinking everyone thought like her.

Lots of other women responded (and if anything this is the most significant part) with needles to say a range of ideas about how to campaign for women's rights.

Original poster was astonished that she should be anserable to anyone.

So has restructed to let her and trusted aides be in charge.

So it is some sort of franchise now. A city "leader" is agreed and it is left to them to do the work.

Very, very strange.

What would have been good if all the women who wanted something else didn't work out a way of connecting together.

Or that those who took part in the original marches didn't go on to form local groups.

Or maybe some did and are just keeping quiet about it.

As the formidable Baroness Winterbourne said in her letter to M&S, that's a Jaguar level of confidence right there. Intersectional uprising means FA to the average person in the street - but it clearly shows that women's rights are irrelevant to them. Sunlight etc.

I went to my local Women's March with a bunch of Terfs. We knew that it wasn't really about women but decided to join it with our suffragette flags to make a point.

A bunch of wannabe Antifa boys were there with their SUTR and Palestine flags and banners and they decided to lead the chanting.

It was even more about the men than we had expected. I'm glad that they have stopped pretending.

The TIMs will be dropping it very fast.

What use to them is a group that doesn't have the word 'woman' is its name? Where's the validation in that?

Works for me. Now there’s a unisex group that lobbies for its goals openly, and the rest of us can go back to feminist campaigning as we always have.

It's 'all lives matter' for people who identify as left wing.
