That’s great, but it’s still incredibly frustrating that several years of supposedly sex-based statistics on various issues (crime, health, employment, etc) are ruined forever and will never be able to be corrected to reflect sex where gender was recorded instead.

Rape statistics are probably the easiest to interpret as it’s obvious that all the ‘female’ rapists were male. But for the majority of crimes that could be committed by either sex, and for all sorts of other statistics, the past few years will be a weird anomaly. I hope the ONS are going to put notes on all the skewed data sets so people in the future understand the discrepancies and don’t rely on them for policymaking on sex-based issues.

Hmmm I wonder why a rapist would want to be classified as a woman and go to a woman’s prison… I can’t think of any obvious reason… 🤔

Any thoughts as to what the BBC's take on this will be? Will they finally capitulate and stop referring to monsters like Scarlet Blake as woman/she?

(Not a rapist in this case, just a plain old violent male.)

To be fair I suspect 90% of them would not have been seen as trans in the 90s but it was trans rights guys that all decided c 2005 that every criminal that ever put on a skirt was trans to the max and needed special treatment and was committing crimes while being a woman.

We just NOTICED this going on and got angry. Then we WON.

All you needed to do was just NOT support really evil men who probably never had a day in their life where they didn't enjoy being an awful man. Yet the trans movement made protecting crossdressing criminals ITS BIGGEST PRIORITY. Its leaders spent more time on stopping misgendering criminals and getting them into women's prisons than getting health care.

Interesting choice.

To be fair a whole bunch of the more reasonable trans types were against the whole "lets give trans support to every criminal we can find" plan. They got shouted down and ignored.

Remember the general public don't know about the full huge extent of the lets trans as many criminals as possible scheme. If they did trans popularity would be even lower.

Anyway we have sorted that problem for you. We have just made the trans community 100% safer by expelling all the criminals and making them all men again.

You can thank us later. And they say Terfs don't care about trans types.

How ridiculous - never seen a woman asked to leave a woman's toilet. I've asked a man to leave though. He wasnt pretending to be a woman, just poor signage.

I don't care if it's only one headline a year (and it's not it's more) it is a LIE. It is a man who raped not a woman. And more than happy for crimes committed by men to be reported. Perhaps then there may be greater efforts to deal with it.

It's always boiled my blood when I have ever seen a headline saying 'woman rapes a 17 year old girl,' and you see a photograph of a man (wearing a blonde shoulder length wig,) with a five o clock shadow.

That said, Timor Kuran reports that when ideology or institutions collapse, it happens quickly (Private Truths, Public Lies). Like the collapse of the Berlin Wall and the USSR.

I’d like to think this is that moment but there are so many ideologues determined to maintain their oppressive structures and control.

Agree that I will only believe it when it is confirmed by a national body or individual that actually represents the police force. It’s only speculation in that article, though I dearly wish it wasn’t.

A swift collapse would be very welcome, but we’ve seen proof over and over of just how ingrained and embedded these lies have become.

Captured shops will just make all their changing rooms mixed-sex. Including Lingerie changing rooms. But won't bother with any signage to indicate this.

And it will be perfectly legal, because separating changing rooms by sex is legally permitted, rather than legally required.
