They're not men. Apart from a few, most I see are, after a quick first glance, clearly not male. Especially when they move.

I think most, if not all, transition for very different reasons than males do, trauma being one. For that, they have my sympathy, but no, they're not men. Men are adult human males.

I'm a female homosexual and find women attractive regardless of presentation, I'm attracted to biologically female people, not femininity. Some very unfeminine women are fantastically attractive to me. Males really aren't, regardless of how pretty or how feminine. (Still staggered at India Willoughby's recent tweet that Sharron Davies is trans and not a woman because not as pretty as Dylan Mulvaney....ffs.)

Passing.. ? Well I've known a lovely TM complete with full beard. But the hips, the walk, the smile, the eyes, the social skills, the way they interact with people - I see a woman, not a man.

What I wouldn't find at all attractive was the rejection of femalehood and of other women. Too often I find a lot of sexism involved, I've known TM who believe they are escaping a powerless group into a more powerful one and the sexism follows it: women are inferior. And that's phenomenally unattractive in any prospective partner of either sex.

No, it's very extreme surgery with exceptionally poor outcomes and fortunately very few transmen have it done. If I ruled the world it would be banned. Utterly barbaric.

The opposite sex attracted women (those in the 89.4%) are attracted to men. So no, they won't consider someone who is not a man as a sexual partner. If they did, they would be part of the 2%.

From what I've read (no direct experience), it's lesbian women who've bought into "queer is good, same sex attracted is bad". Sometimes who were with them before they transitioned and have been conditioned (like women with trans-identifying men) into thinking you don't give up on your partner, sometimes honestly the transman is just a butch lesbian with extra steps (but no extra hormones).

I know a transman through a hobby who passes as a man, only reason I know he's a transman is because he talks about it. I have no reason to know and am not close to him.

I suspect that being trans is, for him, a big part of his identity, and it's just more interesting than being a 30 something male.

I'm glad he passes as it makes him less likely to be the victim of male violence but I don't think of him as a man, I feel so sorry for the confused young woman he was in the past.

Not all transmen go for bottom surgery, and even if they do, for me, it's not the same as a biology man's anatomy. It doesn't function or look the same.

What about xxy chromosome people?

Unless combined with CAIS or other condition that prevents a foetus developing as male, but that combined with XXY would be incredibly rare.

This sums up my feelings about the questions posed in both threads nicely for me.

One of my younger relatives is a supposed transmen. They dress more feminine than me (I mean, they still bother with makeup and earrings)
It causes my eighty year grandad no end of confusion.

Unsurprisingly he is working class. They appear to be refreshingly immune to gender ideology.

No idea really. I don't know any. I saw a trans woman on twitter somewhere who was quite hot, good arms, lantern jaw, thought they eyeliner set off the bone structure nicely. So yeah...I can't see myself fancying a trans man but never say never!

what a creepy and inappropriate comment. I'm sure the poster doesn't 'make sure' her friend gets any sort of test done frequently and instead assumes that whatever their sex/gender, as they are an adult they are responsible for their own medical care.

In exactly the same way as I don't feel any obligation to make sure my female friends get smear tests done - their bodies, literally nothing to do with me. And vice versa! I would be incredibly offended if anyone else other than me - whether my mum, my friend, my partner, thought they had any right to 'make' me get a smear test regularly!

A good friend of mine is a transman. I've known him 20 years, but only found out about 2 years ago he was a transman. I think of him as a man, albeit a small and slim man. He's gay and in a relationship with someone who AFAIK is biologically male. They've been together all the time I've known him and appear very happy. I love him to bits but obviously would never consider him as anything but a friend. Even before I found out he was trans, I always saw him as gay.

He doesn't scream and shout about it, just chooses to quietly live his life with his partner.

I consider him a bloke, and could happily consider a transman a friend, but I don't think any relationship could be anything but friendship.
