Day 3 of Exante today...They say its always harder the second time around but I'm doing ok so far! Not too hungry, no headaches, just a slight dizzy/light-headed feeling but I guess that's me getting into ketosis?

I lost 3 stone last year on S&S and have 1 stone to go to reach a healthy weight, might lose more but will see how I feel when I get there!

Anybody else is the same boat?

Hi! I'm on day 3 of slim and save. I did it for a few weeks over the summer, and managed to reach my pre pregnancy weight which was my goal. But I still can't do my old trousers up! And my stomach looks about 3 months pregnant still, urgh. So I've started again to try and drop another 7lb or so before I go back to work when my maternity leave finishes next month.
I doing ok, the worst bit for me is preparing the kids food and making myself not eat their bread crusts etc!

Lost over 3.5 stone on Exante and, after the 'rest' week am back on it. Co-inciding with rabid pmt which is not helping. I still have 5lbs to go until I'm in the 'normal' BMI range though and would like to see how I feel under 9 stone (am only 5ft ish).

Not weighed myself for a while as didn't want to upset myself last week!

Hello. Don't tell anyone but I'm doing exante too. I'm my fattest ever (14 stone) I've never succeeded at losing any weight but I'm about to finish my third week

Am a bit worried about next week when I'm meant to eat. It's a slippery slope for me and I'm worried I might go back to my old ways

Morning all,

Day 4 for me and I've woken up with an awful taste in my mouth so hopefully i'm in ketosis now?

Do we HAVE to eat every fourth week? I'd much rather power through with my products...

I did it for 12 weeks but did have a meal as well as am bf a 1 year old (cleared with gp first). I used My Fitness Pal app to count the calories in the meal, which consisted of a bit of lean meat, fish or cottage cheese and stone salad or veg. It also meant I could have the occasional restaurant meal as long as I made choice along those lines. Tried to stick to below 750/800 cals a day to remain in ketosis though.

well from my reading the 'rest week' has to be advised as unlike other VLC diets like lighter life you don't have someone supervising you. other VLCD don't advise the rest week until 12 weeks, i believe, but then you are being monitored.

i think i'm going to have the odd bit of chicken or veg and see how i get on.

my clothes are definitely feeling looser, which is certainly giving me the incentive to carry on

signora did you eat carrrots and tomatoes? i need to research whichveg is low carb, because, of course, all the nice ones are apparently high

ThatIsSoFetch · 25/09/2015 09:50

Yeah I might just add a few low carb snacks (eggs/chicken etc)

The lowest carb veg is the green stuff. I love courgetti though so could eat that with some chicken breast. or scrambled eggs & spinach etc..

Day 5 now and feeling rubbish...crazy how much food takes over your thoughts when you are on a restricted diet like this.

I also noticed today on my packs it says + 20 minutes of exercise a day for best results...I already walk to and from walk every day (about 30 mins total) but may add in some squats/situps each evening.

god yes, i kept dreaming that i was accidentally eating before remembering i was meant to be on a diet and waking in a cold sweat.

i have days when i'm fine and barely give it another thought, and others where it's all i think about. weekends are tough.

I have been doing Exante for 8 weeks now and lost 23lb so far. It's a tough diet but you do get used to it, but sometimes I get hunger pangs.

7lb is great. I have lost 2.5lb this week and moved down into the next stone bracket.

My tip is the shakes are much nicer blended with at least 6 ice cubes in a good blender that crushes the ice.

Well done everyone! How much have you lost so far Ted?

I've started to feel a bit sick and dizzy in the mornings for some reason? Did anyone else experience this?

I don't weigh myself as I get too obsessed Blush but I'm back in 14s, 8 weeks ago I had to buy some stuff in size 18, but was mostly 16.

Yes I've had the dizziness! When I get up my vision goes all black and takes a few seconds to steady myself.. That's only just started happening Confused

It is probably your body getting used to ketosis just take it easy and keep drinking water. If you get really bad have a small amount of protein such as an egg or some chicken.

I found it took at least 2 weeks to really get used to.it, I don't know whether it is ketosis or what, but I do still have times when I am hungry, but it is easier now.

Day 1 of slim and save, not looking forward to this week as I know how rough it is, but this time next week I'll be used to the water, will be in ketosis, and will only have to work on the bad habits rather than the cravings.

Did fantastically well on Cambridge about ten years ago, but RL got in the way as I was about to reintroduce food, and it all went to pot. This time though I have a target, and I have DD2 on board who will be reminding me how much money it's costing (we're madly saving for a big holiday next year, so she's in charge of the spreadsheet for that Wink) and that it would be really selfish of me to waste this money when it could be going towards our holiday, nag nag nag Grin.

Two stone takes me to the very top of a healthy BMI, three stone would be better, then by next summer I will be eating sensibly and mindfully.

How is everyone else doing over the past week?

Morning everyone, can I come and join? I did really well on slim and save two years ago, followed by a slightly catastrophic back injury that required immediate surgery and then the year from hell emotionally.

The long and the short is I am back to Much Too Large and ready to begin again. While recovering from a really dreadful case of whooping cough....

Whooping cough is evil - my DM took best part of a year to recover Sad. And on top of what sounds a rough year Scone Flowers

Day 4, and it's going well, am totally shattered though, but am ploughing through. Scales say three pounds off Grin.

anyone still around? I'm 12 days in and twelve pounds off Shock. The loss will start to slow now though thankfully, as it's been a bit drastic to say the least. Just about coping with the water intake, I have a 1.5 hour commute each way once a week, and that's a bit tough not being near a loo Blush.
