Fischer Future Heat Electric Heaters WARNING

I need to change the heating system in my home and one of their leaflets came through the door with my post.

It is not that easy to find independent information about them.

It might interest other mnetters, as it did me, to find out that the advertising standards agency has ruled against their promotional material or claims on their website on five different occasions.

18 March 2015
11 November 2015
3 April 2013

There have also been a number of additional informal rulings where the company has agreed to withdraw claims after discussions with the ASA.

I would urge anyone thinking of installing these products to read one of the judgements on the Advertising standards website first.

A kilowatt is a kilowatt, in short!

Pity that basic science is deemed 'geeky' especially on mn, or fewer would fall for this.

I fear my science isn't very good, specialsubject, Blush

Massively overpriced heating I think. I looked into them once and I think a radiator will set you back 200-300 per room.

Never trust any advertising leaflets/internet site of any product at all which doesn't give prices but wants contact details before they sock the costs to you.

I have oil free radiators here which can be bought for 59-79 pounds each and don't need installation. They work just fine, efficient and affordable. No one wanted my address, phone numbers and e mail address either before I could buy them and no salesmen called.

cafe, if you times your radiator cost by 5 you will be in the right ballpark
