Just painting the bathroom in the loft extension and I read on the tin you have to wait 6 hours between coats. it's their bathroom paint which they say guarantees 5 years mould free. Is this really necessary? - i was hoping to get the job done before lunch!

My suggestion: Just get on with it. See what happens.

I'm not sure it's worth uhm-ing and argh-ing over such a relatively minor issue (I say this respectfully, of course!).

I didn't wait 6 hours. Mine turned out just fine. Perhaps others have waited...and I'm sure theirs is ok too....just do it.

Yes you're right. In the event the colour was wrong and I'm starting again with a new one. I think maybe 4 hours would be OK.

I think that caters for all drying conditions. In most circumstances, a shorter gap is probably fine.
