What's a maternity support belt?

Its like a band thing that you wear under your bump to give it some support

Have got stretching pains etc and I think it would help

I've bought one of the Carriwell ones from Jojomaman and an Emma Jane support belt. Unfortunately due to saggy overhang and general lumps and bumps neither have been very comfortable. The former kept rolling up and digging in and the latter was pretty uncomfortable unless I wore it over my trousers. They'd probably be be fine if you have a 'proper' bump with no saggy bits though!

I've got a bit of a overhang from c section with first birth...Hmm

Its changed the shape of my bump as well - I had a much rounder bump at the bottom of tummy with DS but with this one, not so much due to the slack tummy muscles...wonder if they cocked up when stitching me up or if i'm just too fat Grin

Puss - get some maternity Spanx. Honestly, they are a godsend. They really support my bump and are helping loads with me not getting so much SPD this time round, less backache etc.

And, nice smooth bump.

Somewhere online, can't remember but if you google then various stockists come up. I think I paid about £28 quid.

Not too bad actually, I've got so much more energy than I had when I was expecting DS. Starting to get really uncomfortable to bend over though, the baby is breech and I can feel it's feet right down in my pelvis and they dig in when I bend over!

Glad you aren't feeling pukey anymore :), that really is the worst thing about being pg.

the best one i got was for free from my physio on the NHS. I bought two previous to that one, and they were very expensive and quite useless. Tell your midwife/doctor about your back pain and see if they'll give you one

Try Maternity Belt, they've got a great range of belts, bands and they sell Spanx, plus there's loads of advice on which belt suits you best.
