Went for a trial assessment there, but it’s a huge journey compared to current Ballet class (LBBS). DS loved it but is it worth travelling an hour and a half at age 7?
DS loves Ballet, he likes the teacher, smaller class and a piano being there. Not unhappy at LBBS but they have some big classes and no piano, down behaviour issues in class it seems too. It’s not too long a drive to get there.

personally I think that sort of journey would very quickly become a real pain and I wouldn't do it myself. Mine dance at least 4 hours a week each and we are only a few miles from the dance school which makes the tooing and froing ok but even then it becomes annoying after a while. especially if there are any extra things going on that mean they have to go any extra. It is a lot at that age and grade as well. I would worry that the tiring journey will actually put him off and he would end up stopping dancing completely.

I'd stick with LBBS for the time being - they have good teachers there, he's still young and there's plenty of time in the future to think about additional classes somewhere else if he wants to take things further.

Another good school is West London School of Dance, run by Anna du Boisson, who also runs YDA - a vocational training school with exceptional results.

What about the RAD boys associate classes?

I wouldn’t travel that far for weekly classes. LBBS have a great reputation so unless he’s not enjoying it there I’d stick to that.
