Calculating holiday entitlement for term-time only job

I am sure this has cropped up on here many times before but I just can't get my brain around it!
I work five hours a day, five days a week so in total 25 hours per week, term time only. So I only work 39 weeks a year, same as the schools (although not a school job).
Can anyone help me calculate what my annual leave figure should be? Also, what should happen about bank holidays, should any allowance be made for these?
I just want to double-check that my HR dept have calculated correctly and what is the actual legal requirement. For info, they have calculated that I am due 19 days a year, does this seem correct?

I make it 14 days statutory minimum but your employer may e more generous.

(28/37)x25 = 18.9/52 x 39 = 14

It's 15 days + Bank Holidays.

20 days stat min. 39 is 75% of a full year so 15 days.

Plus bank holidays. I'm guessing that some bank holidays don't fall in term time so are no counted hence the 19 days (i make is 21 days overall).

So you should get paid for these days as holiday, if you can actually take them outside of the school holidays I'm not sure.

Calculation is 23.5 days, including bank holidays

I am assuming they calculate each day's holiday on a 5 hr day basis (ie if they pay you for unused holidays they pay you for 5 hrs per day not used).

Here's how to explain it to your HR: Normal full time worker gets 28 days. There are 260 working days so full time workers work for 232 days. You are working for 395 = 195 days, rather than 232 days each year, therefore you are entitled to 195/232 ratio. 195/23228 = 23.5 including bank holidays. There is a calc on the linked document they can use which will get to the same number.

Hi

Have just checked back in and wanted to thank you for your replies. I have asked my HR dept to tell me how they have come up with their figure so will wait and see!
