Anyone had false positive on Lloyd's pharmacy own brand tests?

I'm 11dpo. Took a first response early response test first thing this morning and it was negative. On a whim just did a Lloyd's pharmacy one... Positive. Will attach pic. But I'm finding reviews saying they give false positives. Anyone got any experience of this?? Don't know what to think as in 31st month of trying for no2.

Anyone had false positive on Lloyd's pharmacy own brand tests?

I've never used that brand but I thought overall that it was very rare to get a false positive. You need pregnancy hormone for positive line to show up. I would say you are pregnant. Congratulations Grin

The test seems to have some pretty poor reviews with false positives :( www.lloydspharmacy.com/en/lloydspharmacy-pregnancy-test-two-tests can't get my hopes up. Just my luck to buy a rubbish test!

Have I totally lost my mind? Just dipped the other test (2 pack) in water to activate it and see what happened. Totally negative as you would hope - but does that add any viability to my positive?!?

If you could possibly get to a superdrug, their own brand early result tests are fantastic and very sensitive, and have a good reputation. I wouldn't have said a line that strong and convincing could be a false positive, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

While Lloyds have a higher false positive range than other tests, the overall chance of getting a false positive is still miniscule - out of the percent it happens to, slightly more have used that test.

Go get another one for piece of mind, and good luck!

There is no Superdrug where I live unfortunately :( I think I'm going to have to step away from the tests and wait a few more days to try again with another first response.

Thanks Anchor - I guess also the ladies reviewing them may have had chemical pregnancies and not realise?!

Just took a first response and it's totally negative. Looks like this was a false positive. How utterly shit.

Hi Closephine,
I know it's been a while but did that test from Lloyds Pharmacy turn out as a false positive or were you pregnant? I used the same test came back positive but kept getting negative same day (Sunday) with boots brand and even with Lloyds the following day (Monday, yesterday) as well as the GP's (also following day).

I'm 9 days late and we are not sure whether we should be happy or accept it as false positive.

Thanks xx
