Help! I have got this far with baby blanket and not sure what to do next. I need to do about a third again size wise. All grey? Or grey then one stripe of each colour again? Or something else? Suggestions please!

It's gorgeous, but TBH I'm not keen on the gray - it doesn't seem to relate to any of the other colours.

Personally, I'd frog the gray out completely and then either reverse the colours until I ended on the red, or start again with the red and end on the dark blue. The second way would have one band less than the first way.

Thanks Polycorn- that is the beauty of crochet I can just pull out the grey! Yes I might try reversing the colours the original plan I think - or working back through but don't like purple next to red so much.

What looks like dark blue there is actually purple

If the grey is easy to remove, i agree, work back through thd rainbow, violet -red.
Beautiful blanket. What a lucky baby.

It’s beautiful! Maybe some sunshiney yellow would be nice? But I’m no good with crochet, I can knit but crochet and me aren’t friends!

So, what did you do in the end, Arcadia?

I am also keen to see an update. If you are still undecided I would go with repeating the pattern of colours once frogging back to purple

Gosh. Can I ask what pattern you used. I’m currently doing this. Not nearly as pretty.

Oh wow that's beautiful. I have serious envy! What pattern is that? (I'm kidding myself, my ravelry is full to the brim with knitting patterns and I can't crochet)

Really simple pattern on YouTube which I will try and link for you. Slightly hyper Canadian woman but I found her quite endearing. You need to watch out for the different terminology and i also had to do back to front as am left handed! Colours are easy - stylecraft special Dk.
