that comes to less than 116? (2 adults; 1 child)
On the 21st August (Tuesday)?

All I'm finding are crazy prices but I've never booked a theater ticket in my life before so maybe I'm missing a trick.....?

LadyLaSnack Sat 11-Aug-18 22:51:01

I think, to get them at that price, you might need to go to the TKTS booth (Leicester Sq) on the morning of the show and hope for the best. Unless they’ve got a way of doing it online now.

MaryPoppinsPenguins Sat 11-Aug-18 22:52:49

I think it’s impossible actually. School of Rock you could get for that price though?

whatyadoing Sat 11-Aug-18 22:54:09

Is school of Rock the Meatloaf one?

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 22:54:21

Unless you try your luck on the day you’ve left it a bit late. I can get it to £110 for Wicked for 3 seats in the dress circle on the Kidsweek promotion but the cheaper seats have sold out.

Booking direct with the theatre therecare seats right at the very back available for a total of £102.75

I bought our Jamie & Dreamgirls Tickets in June.

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 22:55:35

Bat out of Hell is the Meatloaf one. School of Rock is the LLOYD Webber show based on a film with kids in.

AustrianSnow Sat 11-Aug-18 22:55:56

Tada. Kids’ Week tickets available that day. £55 per adult and free child.

You should be able to pick up Wicked (Lion King maybe) via Kids Week www.kidsweek.co.uk - one kid goes free for each paying adult so that might help!

whatyadoing Sat 11-Aug-18 22:56:50

What is the dress circle? confused

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 22:58:11

The first balcony. (Think there is only one balcony at the Apollo Victoria)

StrawberrySoup Sat 11-Aug-18 22:58:19

Wicked also does cheap day seats if you can queue up early but am not sure how many per customer. Their website should say I think.

Elisheva Sat 11-Aug-18 22:58:42

We always buy our tickets from Leicester Square on the morning of the show and it’s always been fine. Saw Wicked and Bat Out of Hell last year, there were tickets for both the shows you want available when we last went in July. Around £30 a seat.

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 23:00:37

Day seats are two per person. First come first served.

StrawberrySoup Sat 11-Aug-18 23:02:25

Here's the day seats info
www.wickedthemusical.co.uk/london/tickets/day-seats-concessions
You should be okay to get them if you arrive early to queue (the box office should be able to advise what time the queue normally starts) . It's only 2 tickets per person, so you'll need each adult to to a separate transaction and hope they have seats together to allocate to you (or one okay to sit apart). Hope that helps!

AustrianSnow Sat 11-Aug-18 23:02:29

We sat fairly far back for Wicked which was fine. Friends sat at the back for Lion King and wished they hadn’t bothered as there’s so much worth seeing up close they felt it was wasted money on the cheap seats.

The Lion King box office told me they do the cheapest tickets available although I don’t know how much truth there is in that. The direct prices for the 21st are outrageous.

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 23:04:35

It’s the front Row for Dayseats (24 in total)

whatyadoing Sat 11-Aug-18 23:07:08

Austrian - you are a star.
Booked!
Thank you so much!

whatyadoing Sat 11-Aug-18 23:09:24

Christ, how far back are we I wonder? I'd rather have my eyes gouged to be honest than sit through a musical but needs must. DNeice on the other hand really wanted to see either The Lion King or Wicked.

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 23:20:06

What are your seat numbers?

whatyadoing Sat 11-Aug-18 23:21:40

Wicked, Tuesday, 21 Aug 2018 at 7:30 PM. Doors 7:00 PM| Apollo Victoria, London

2 x CIRCLE - ADULT
Block: CIR
Row: R
Seats: 38, 39

Child is Seat 40.

confused

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 23:24:50

That’s ok. 31-35 are behind the stairwell wall so you have to lean over but higher numbers will be fine.

whatyadoing Sat 11-Aug-18 23:27:29

Ok, thanks. Are we at the back of the theater? Will she be able to see anything?

Pumpkintopf Sat 11-Aug-18 23:33:25

You can check out a seat review incl sightlines etc on this website- http://www.theatremonkey.com/

AlexanderHamilton Sat 11-Aug-18 23:37:23
