Three-day ban on Reddit for “hate”

The only thing I can think of is posting on a UK sub about male violence. A man said that it’s not just men who have a problem with being violent because he’d been assaulted by a trans woman. I replied, “how did you know your assailant was trans?”.

They literally have subs for men to masturbate to videos of women who have a look of being “dead behind the eyes” they’ve been abused so much.

(It’s either that or somebody doesn’t like my crochet advice).

Reddit is notorious for banning anyone who doesn't fall in line with their TWAW rhetoric, even if it's mildly disputed. Yet violent sub reddits about women are allowed. It's a deeply misogynistic website. I'm guessing OP is just pointing out the hypocrisy of her being banned yet those awful women hating subs remaining.

Spot on. Reddit panders to both the virtue-signall7ng extreme left & the alt right, both shit for women . I keep an eye on BanFemaleHateSubs & the situation shows v little sign of general improvement, though some do get banned. & all the lesbian subs are disgracefully harassed by TRAs. There are some where it's safer to talk but you have to be careful.

Do you remember when Reddit closed down all the feminist and GC women's groups? I do, I was on Mumsnet that night, there was a sudden influx of women who had been kicked out. Reddit has it's thumb firmly on the scales and has some very dodgy moderators, Aimee Challenor for one.

I've had a couple of three day bans for similar comments, it's crazy. I opened new accounts and now stay well away from the cesspit areas.

Seems a strange thing to ask someone who said they were assaulted. Most people would have said "sorry to hear that" or something. I'm guessing he or someone else probably reported you thinking your comment was in bad faith and just an excuse to be anti-trans.

Can you provide evidence for this? btw "TRA" for anyone who isn't "gender critical" is often considered derogatory. And by "lesbian sub" can we clarify if you mean the actual lesbian subs (which are welcoming of trans women) or do you mean subs that are mainly gender critical?

For an example I just had a quick look at r/lesbian (96K members, in the top 2% of size) and saw this post by a mod 6 months ago. So why would trans people "harass" subs that are welcoming of them, which a user here is alleging?

Abuse is against reddit's TOS and this would of course include exploitation of abuse victims, so I hope OP reported these subs to reddit and possibly law enforcement too if there are signs of abuse happening?

I can't even understand what you're rambling on about OP, can you explain what you're talking about? And why it's relevant to being banned from Reddit?

As far as I understand it, various lesbian subreddits were set up to be female only and split off from the so called "lesbian" subreddit which was taken over by the male misogynists and their female friends who are so prevalent on Reddit. Most have them have been taken over in their turn.

Quite, his point was that women are as violent as men because he'd been assaulted by a trans woman. If TWAW a) why would it be relevant if his attacker was cis or trans and b) how on earth could he possibly tell his assailant had been born male?
