Three-day ban on Reddit for “hate”

The only thing I can think of is posting on a UK sub about male violence. A man said that it’s not just men who have a problem with being violent because he’d been assaulted by a trans woman. I replied, “how did you know your assailant was trans?”.

They literally have subs for men to masturbate to videos of women who have a look of being “dead behind the eyes” they’ve been abused so much.

(It’s either that or somebody doesn’t like my crochet advice).

The only reason why it looks like "the majority of lesbians have no problem with TW" is because on Reddit statistically there are more AGP people who call themselves lesbians than there are lesbians... Because all the female lesbians got banned for not being an AGP male.

the majority of lesbians, both on and off Reddit , do not support “gender critical” ideology.
Most lesbian women are trans-inclusive.

Radicalised on Mumsnet indeed! What tosh! It's got shades of the failure of Collectivisation all being because of Trotsky's network of saboteurs.

Radicalised on Mumsnet

Just yesterday a friend confided in me that her older sister had been radicalised on mumsnet

‘“The emperor has no clothes" is an idiom that describes a situation where people are afraid to criticize something that is false or has no value.”’

Well yes, that’s precisely my point.

Are people radicalised on Reddit to become homophobes, believing that men can be lesbians?

Reading factual information, supported by a wealth of links to credible articles and papers, coming to a logical conclusion based on the information assimilated thereby is most definitely not being radicalised.

lol if that were anything like what is going on I’d agree with you

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/01/2025 21:29

You don’t have to want to shag a person to be welcoming of them in your community

Goodness, wonder what it is that makes so many lesbians uninterested in that type of woman? Sounds like some sort of phobia according to you and your pals?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/01/2025 21:30

I particularly appreciate that you don't even try to deny that they aren't interested @Lostcat

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/01/2025 21:32

Good for her! Once you see it you can't unsee it.

I don’t think this is an issue that is in any way specific to being a lesbian.
A lot of people aren’t really open to dating trans people- regardless of their sexuality.

Some lesbians are open to dating trans people and some aren’t. Same goes for gay , bi and straight men and straight and bj women.

Regardless, the majority of lesbian women are welcoming of trans women into their community and wholeheartedly reject “gender critical” ideology.

Lostcat · 01/01/2025 20:28

most lesbians have no problem with trans women being included in lesbian spaces. Most lesbian women do not support gender critical views.

Facts.

You don’t have to want to shag a person to be welcoming of them in your community . If you don’t understand this I have concerns for you.

I am a bit confused, I thought lesbian spaces was based on people sexually attracted to each other - so other biological women? Why would people they not are sexually attracted to be a part of that community?

So if most lesbians said they aren’t attracted to obese women, would you ban fat lesbians from lesbian communities? 😂.

Not sure what you are confused about really.

The vast majority of lesbian women are trans inclusive; they welcome trans women into lesbian spaces and they wholeheartedly reject “gender critical” ideologies.

CountZacular · 01/01/2025 21:49

Does anyone remember that article (or was it a post, I can’t remember) where it looked at the overlap of users on subs. It was something like on usual subs it’s expected to be something like 0.5 overlap but between r/actuallesbians and things like /mtf and /transgender is huge - maybe as high as 48 I think (I might have misunderstood but it meant that basically half the posters of on r/actuallesbians also post on r/mtf.

I can’t remember the actual numbers and it may have been something shared on different platform but it’s utterly ludicrous to pretend the lesbian subs haven’t been completely overtaken by men.

Do you have any data or anything to support your assertion about “most lesbians”?

NotBadConsidering · 01/01/2025 21:53

Regardless, the majority of lesbian women are welcoming of trans women into their community and wholeheartedly reject “gender critical” ideology.

Without a definition of “woman”, “lesbian”, and evidence to back up “wholeheartedly” this is just the usual sexism, misogyny and homophobia from this particular poster.

CountZacular · 01/01/2025 21:53

And all this disingenuous shit about Reddit being upstanding and banning hate… no, it hates women but supports hate towards women.

I just typed the words ‘women’ and ‘lesbians’ into the search bar. Look what it suggested:

Regardless, the majority of female people who are attracted to other female people have been booted out of the "lesbian community" by blokes calling themselves lesbians with actual physical violence in many cases.

There is no such "lesbian" community anymore. There is a male dominated "queer" community where blokes can call themselves lesbian and punch women who say no you're not one.

This is probably my ignorance… I thought lesbian meant attracted only to other biological women and that gay men only were attracted to biological men.

and within that group, they could have individual preference (but only within that group). This is where weight etc would come in.

so you are saying is that lesbians are attracted to people who identify as women? And gay men are attracted to people who identifies as men?

Circumferences · 01/01/2025 22:05

you are saying is that lesbians are attracted to people who identify as women? And gay men are attracted to people who identifies as men?

Yes in the "new world order" where there is no such thing as biological sex, there is also no such thing as same sex attraction. There are only "people who identify as..."

So you get:
"People who identify as women"
= Any men/women
"People who identify as men"
= Any men/women
"People who identify as gay men"
= Any men/women
People who identify as lesbians"
=Any men/women

There are no actual definitions.

There is no such thing as men or women or lesbians or gay men in gender ideology. Only vague claims made by vague people claiming vague things for vague reasons that can't be explained.

Circumferences · 01/01/2025 22:07

In fact, Lesbian and bi women are the demographic group most supportive of trans people in the UK.

What is a lesbian women?

CountZacular · 01/01/2025 22:07

Lostcat · 01/01/2025 22:00

Various research has demonstrated this clearly. In fact, Lesbian and bi women are the demographic group most supportive of trans people in the UK. https://yougov.co.uk/society/articles/45983-what-do-lesbian-gay-bisexual-and-transgender-brito

That doesn’t say anywhere that lesbians are welcoming men on their say to be lesbians.

Many, many people are supportive of trans people. Most of us here actually. It doesn’t mean we think that makes trans women actual women. There’s no evidence to think the majority of lesbians think trans women who call themselves lesbians are lesbians and are being welcomed into lesbian communities.

Do you remember when Reddit closed down all the feminist and GC women's groups? I do, I was on Mumsnet that night, there was a sudden influx of women who had been kicked out. Reddit has it's thumb firmly on the scales and has some very dodgy moderators, Aimee Challenor for one.

I'm one of them!
