How the metro can put out this tweet which effectively suggests a woman shouldn't be allowed to speak is beyond me. Shocked but not surprised. Comments are heartening though, as is the ratio.

It’s a very misogynist freesheet. It doesn’t employ the brightest and best.

I think she has quite happily opened her mouth actually, to say what she said.

Skewing crime statistics is dangerous. The sex-based statistics show very clearly exactly who is a threat to who. If these are manipulated to reflect 'gender identity' then the distinction between the sex class which represents a clear and lethal threat to the other sex class, with two women murdered at the hands of men per week, then this dinstinction is eroded. This potentially puts the more vulnerable sex class at even greater risk at the hands of the dominant one.

As if men ever needed more of a green light to harm women. The crime of rape is de facto legal as it is.

Women's safety matters not a jot to these misogynists.

A lot of us are sad that the news media is indulging the whims of a misogynistic ideology with such apparent enthusiasm.

That it truly chilling.

Seems to be written by the same sort of person who wrote that a woman who speaks out of turn should have her teeth smashed out with a brick on the Enmetena and Urukagina cones. The misogyny is ancient.

She had so many positive messages in response to her tweet, from men and women.
The general public have had enough of this nonsense, it's the media that keep promoting it.

Would they say the same about a male politician saying something they disagreed with? Or a footballer?

The metro quite often has poorly constructed headlines first thing that are then altered when the grown ups wake up and take over .

It's the Metro - it's only there to sit on when the tube seats are too dirty. It's hardly highbrow journalism, or indeed any sort of journalism.

JKR simply stated the truth, Scarlet Blake is a man. I wouldn't have thought it newsworthy. It's like announcing that Mickey Mouse is an animation.

I wish the biased media would comment similarly about Lee Anderson, Suella, Patel et al. But no. How very odd.

Wow. In a nation where 2 women are killed weekly by men that's a pretty fucking inflammatory way to talk about a very public figure.

Fortunately people are posting the screenshots to their own Twitter pages and further. This misogyny shouldn’t be allowed to be hidden away. Is there a way to complain about it somewhere?
