How the metro can put out this tweet which effectively suggests a woman shouldn't be allowed to speak is beyond me. Shocked but not surprised. Comments are heartening though, as is the ratio.

At the time of deletion they had 33.9k views of the tweet so I should think it will have registered as plain nasty and misogynist with a good number. Even those who dislike what Jo stands for and disagree with her opinions can't possibly think the metro tweet was acceptable....can they?

She isn't alone on her thinking.

Focus should be on the sick fuck of a murderer.

Men putting dresses on to kill skews the crime rates. If every murdering rapist puts a dress on to commit the crime it makes its look like the biological mind of women is evolving to be more rapey and murderous.

Biological woman generally do not have to strength to over power men or even other women to rape and murder. Or have these urges as much as men. I could put a suit on. I couldn't then over power ANY man. I just couldn't and it's nonsense and dangerous to hide that fact

This is a serious thing. The metro is a free sheet with enormous circulation. They have stands in publicly owned space - in every tube station. If they pull stunts like this, they should have that privilege revoked.

I don't always agree with her but in this case she is absolutely right.

Men commit the majority of violent crimes, sexual assaults and so on.

They are the ones who are all more likely to display sociopathic/psychopathic traits that lead to violence.

This is textbook case (starting by torturing animals and then killing people) so it is important that this criminal should be clinically assessed and treated as a man, not a woman.

No matter how much surgery they have to alter their appearance DNA and some characteristics cannot be altered.

I really have no issue with people transitioning and living a life free of abuse/discrimination with the physical appearance of their choice but let's stop pretending this makes them a woman.

This problem of the press misleading the public about male crimes is coming to a head. A public apology by the Metro would push it along.

Metro is a terrible paper but happily although it is free at tube stations I almost never see anyone actually reading it! In the 2000’s everyone did.
and I have daily tube use for almost 50 years of experience of what people do on the tube. There has also been an uptick in actual book reading. One Saturday in January there were 5 people reading books on my carriage. I haven’t seen that since the 90’s!!
