This is so disingenuous

Julie Bindel in the spectator

https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-interview-that-exposed-the-ridiculousness-of-trans-activism/

Some women I respect and admire are very critical of the fact that feminists such as myself were not invited onto the programme to expose the ridiculousness of their arguments. I disagree. No one could have made the pair look more ridiculous.

Interesting, Steph runs the baby2k shops in the Portsmouth and Southampton area. Car seat fitting specialist and prams and the like. Think they have about 7 show rooms. Looks like Steph ran the company with a sibling and sister in law.

Interesting only in that, their area of expertise is running retail stores. They probably got involved in women stuff through selling these products. They are probably very well known in the area to mothers. Steph may have good reach to be ceo of a charity in this area, I guess. Shame they are a TRA and have to make everything they do about being trans and being bigoted and offensive towards women.

Current wife and two of Richards' children from Richards' first marriage.

Thanks for the reporting all. I'll have to wait for the iplayer version.
Ben Bradshaw's tweet has just lost any chance of a vote from me for Labour.

Ditto. Confirms that any backpedaling was just whitewashing to bide their time until winning the election. I fear for women’s rights under a Labour government.

Feckedupbundle · 16/11/2023 08:22

Aww,the charity have now protected their tweets. Shame,I was looking forward to them trying to spin what a successful interview it'd been.🙄

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2023 10:59

He doesn't even sound impressive. He's not a confident speaker or authoritative. He sounds like my grandad dithering over whether he wants a custard slice of a bit of Victoria sponge.

I was just reading along in the time the programme went out while belatedly listening to the recording and I laughed out loud at this Grin

ArenaDavina · 16/11/2023 11:03

Ben Bradshaw's tweet is absolutely shocking. He has got a weird single focus on T issues.

I find it bizarre how there is so little anyone can do re elected representatives and their decisions to not represent huge swathes if their constituents. He is just representing himself/his personal pet projects in the vast majority of his tweets.

He also behaved appallingly toward Rosie Duffels and Miriam Cates, he was part of the LRM weirdness and yet at no point is he held to account for his behaviour.

As someone who has worked in the public sector for many years, it was impressed upon us the need to be seen to be neutral, to behave professionally, to manage conflict etc. He just gets to behave really badly while we pay him to do so. Baffling.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/11/2023 11:04

He's awful.

This.

Most fields of public service require impartiality, professionality, actual care and interest in providing that service to a good quality as opposed to just indulging self and personal hobby horses. Why are politicians getting away with such abysmal standards on their salaries?

This is what 'queering' everything and 'bringing whole self to work' has enabled. I think it need to be filed in the same 'tried that, was an unholy disaster leaving a big mess behind (which any twit could have predicted)' box that theories like 'surround kids with lovely books and don't teach them and they'll all just learn to read naturally by themselves' have ended up in.

RedToothBrush · 16/11/2023 11:21

Ben Bradshaw hates and bullies women.

It's not hard to understand.

SidewaysOtter · 16/11/2023 12:14

Good article from the Mail there.

WickedSerious · 16/11/2023 12:21

It's always 'bullying' when you don't agree with these nincompoops.

DrBlackbird · 16/11/2023 12:22

Needmoresleep · 16/11/2023 11:52

Inevitable:

Woman's Hour presenter Emma Barnett faces pile on from trans activists for challenging transgender … https://mol.im/a/12756503 via https://dailym.ai/android

I was thinking that I would send in a ‘well done to Emma’ report to the BBC in anticipation of her being absolutely slated by the TRAs / allies. They really cannot stand being told ‘no’.

Needmoresleep · 16/11/2023 12:26

The Mail is really running with this. Like them or not they understand their readership. If they think this, and the recent story about the brave female pool player, will interest their readers, they are probably right. Suggesting that much of the country has reached peak trans.

Funny how the "bullying" accusations only ever go one way, isn't it? It's never bullying of women...

You've only got to look at the comments below Mail or Times articles (and arguably Times readers are a bit less knee-jerky-the-world's-gorn-mad) to see how few people agree with the gender ideology view.

RedToothBrush · 16/11/2023 12:37

Journalist pointing out they were talking bollocks and had alternative facts is 'bullying'.

It's so sad really isn't it?

They have nothing else.

Yeah,then it's just re-education.

Spot on. I looked last night at the comments under the Times article about Lynn Pinches - the pool player who refused to play the women's final against a transwoman competitor. 1.4k comments! with the vast majority praising her for taking a stand! Just as with Steph, people can see the unfairness, the bullying, silencing and self centred narcissism of what's happening.

It's well worth sending in a short supportive comment if you are able to do so. I'm sure there will be plenty of complaints going in ...

Yeah,then it's just re-education.

I always wonder if these 'just brain wash them' types would agree that a few hours on FWR would 're educate' them into believing in women's rights and equality.

They'd probably end up wanting to punch their screens, like good old Steph.

LarkLane · 16/11/2023 15:34

Steph seems to be such a popular name these days.
