You may attend in person or remote viewing has been quite limited but you can request log in details from

Email [email protected]

Header should read

URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

Ask for access link and pin and please give your name and address in the email as they check when you connect to the tribunal.

The clerk will ask you (in a private remote room) to put your camera on to verify, this involves looking at you, but no ID is needed. You may turn off your camera after this pointless and unnecessary process.

Ok audio back

GCITC · 13/10/2023 16:58

This wouldn't have happened if Debra was our clerk today.

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 16:59

Sorry who is this?

ickky · 13/10/2023 16:59

Oh no, she runs a tight ship.

Witness - 'Disenfranchised minority'

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 17:00

NS: I was trying to get univ to listen. Hoping there would be enough of us to take us seriously

BC: Plus send msg to GCRN and make their lives less pleasant.

NS: No. Not standing agst GCRN. Standing in solidarity with my students and colleagues.

JoIsBraverThanIAm · 13/10/2023 17:00

This is NS - Nicola Snarey, Assoc Lecturer Eng Language

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 17:00

OMG - more word salad.

ickky · 13/10/2023 17:00

Standing in solidarity again.

This is reminiscent of the "we only talked about football" from Allison's tribunal.

Do they never consider the harm to GC staff and students.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 17:01

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 17:00

OMG - more word salad.

At least it's audible word salad

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 17:01

The common thread is all about trans harms, and nothing about adult human women harms.

ickky · 13/10/2023 17:02

They need a bundle assistant.

Standing in solidarity again.

This is reminiscent of the "we only talked about football" from Allison's tribunal.

Yes! When they'd clearly agreed what they were going to say

LarkLane · 13/10/2023 17:02

Best justification ever this for the setting up of LGBA.

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 17:02

Especially when it is women saying these things. It is like they think that women are seen as equal, so now let's go onto the next thing.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2023 17:03

They all pay lip service to respecting the right to believe differently, but again it's clear they do not.

JoIsBraverThanIAm · 13/10/2023 17:03

I retweeted a post about a transphobic terf network, but I didn't mean to endorse it...!!

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 17:03

Bullshit

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 17:03

BC: were you merely adding your voice in solidarity when you retweeted that abusive tweet and the GCRN

NS: I just meant to retweet a v distressed student ambassador. To show staff had solidarity. V sorry if that caused distress. I didn't know that tweet would've caused that level of distress

Ereshkigalangcleg · 13/10/2023 17:04

It's almost identical justification to the one LD made re the same tweet.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 17:05

BC: You retweeted a number of tweets cos you thoght GCRN was transphobic without thinking about members of GCRN

NS: Yes but in my experience the GC people get listened to, have power, get the platforms and it's the t and nb people who are sidelined.

BC: But this is the only GC network cos of the reaction from academia to them

Theeyeballsinthesky · 13/10/2023 17:05

Obviously only matters if staff had ‘solidarity’ with GI students

GC students could clearly just fuck off - in fact why were they even coming to the OU and polluting their glorious purity 🙄
