URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

Where can the £10,000 pledge be seen? Can't find it in the comments (so wonderful to see all the pledges and comments!)

It was on the right hand side of the fundraiser, under Recent Donations - between George and Georgina's donations. 10k from Anonymous.
Sorry we can't link the page here.
Woo hoo! What a boost!

RealityFan · 15/10/2023 18:55

I know it's hard to reign in those idiots, but isn't it the judge's job, and duty, to keep people to time. Especially if they take the piss putting up 18 witnesses.

What next? The cleaner was offended by Jo's wild transphobic claims? FFS!

Froodwithatowel · 15/10/2023 19:23

There do need to be penalties for the 'call ten million long winded and insane witnesses, have a bundle the size of Wales (and fuck it up) and try quite openly to make the person bankrupt and unable to afford justice' game.

It's becoming tediously repetitive in certain circles. The whole of British law needs updating to deal with people in bad faith.

Could that perchance be a certain well known author of children's wizardry and adult private detective novels, and special guest today at FiLiA?

Mochudubh · 15/10/2023 19:58

Novice gardener here. Where do I find the link to sow a few carrots?

nauticant · 15/10/2023 20:07

Stick the term Jo Phoenix into an Internet search. You'll find a crowd funding site high up in the results.

You'll find a nice dug-over bed, ready for some fine tilth and seeds in her Twitter header
https://twitter.com/JoPhoenix1?

or by searching a good horticultural site for Crowd Justice and a plant that bears her full name

The engine is running. £13,665 to go.

GreenUp · 15/10/2023 21:35

Can anyone remember what witnesses will be appearing tomorrow?

You mean, what bullying, time wasting charlatans?

Ameanstreakamilewide · 15/10/2023 21:38

I hope Ben's managed to recharge his batteries a wee bit, at least.

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 17:29

On Monday I think we have Williams, Bowes Catton and Shakesheft, not necessarily in that order. That's 2 and half hours cross exam according to BC's estimate.
Are we also expecting Dr Drake?

Edited

This is a rough idea of a list for the morning

SerpentEndBench · 15/10/2023 22:05

Thank you for the updates, wims. I am working for a good few hours tomorrow so will be looking in on this thread when I can. Have been gardening this afternoon as well.

Gagagardener · 15/10/2023 22:10

I read Prof Sarah Earle's Witness Statement this morning. Has she been called as a witness?

Gagagardener · 15/10/2023 22:16

Many thanks. I've found and read Sarah Earle's statement. When did people stop being able to think? What a shitshow!

IcakethereforeIam · 15/10/2023 22:20

I think she was witnessing after Jo but there was no sound for people watching remotely.

Thanks for finding that post.

If I recall rightly, Chris Williams is the trans activist Historian who is among those named in Pilgrim Tucker's tribunal against the OU. Should be easy pickings for Ben.

RealityFan · 15/10/2023 22:34

What's awful about all this is the OU and it's activist Left ethos is happy to hang out to dry a middle class academic like Jo, and similarly a resolutely working class woman like Pilgrim, who is also disabled (am I right about that?).

So, this isn't any kind of genuine social justice movement, it's primarily a caste system, where you promote yourself by stepping on other women. Jo is a traditional left wing academic, as is Pilgrim. In any sane world, they would be lauded and celebrated by the Left.

Of course, in academia and all other Left dominated institutions, sanity doesn't reign.

SidewaysOtter · 15/10/2023 22:38

The connecting factor being that they are both women. I’d say I’m reasonably lefty but, much as it sticks in my craw to say so, left wing politics in this country are no friend to women. It’s middle class men and working class men looking out for their own interests. You would think the unions would be pro-women but they’re the damned worst.

I had to go back a few pages, but I knew I'd seen it! Thanks to you and @CriticalCondition I don't feel so brain foggy any more Smile

That info about Williams / Pilgrim Tucker is really interesting, thank you. I hadn't made the connection.

I've morphed from a young man who rolled my eyes at hearing how women were treated in society to in my dotage being super aware.

If you'd have told me the Left were endemic perpetrators of terror against women, I'd have laughed. Surely it was the boss class and violent husbands.

What we all have to realise is that stuff like the OU is the Left in microcosm. It's not the far Left like SWP, it's the mainstream view. This is men and their handmaidens who control the Left discourse. This is what will run thru any Labour administration if Starmer wins, like words thru a stick of rock.

margarita · 16/10/2023 06:24

And as I mentioned on the Pilgrim Tucker thread, Chris Williams is also in the Green Party. It all links together.

ickky · 16/10/2023 09:08

Morning all. 👋

I see people have been busy this weekend with the poetry and prose. 😁

What wild eyed loons will we get today? I can't remember the line up.
