@CriticalCondition I think I have seen his name in the list of meeting attendees before now.

pronounsbundlebundle · 13/10/2023 16:03

He's saying colleagues are 'ignorant' how lovely.

He's 'ignorant' about what the majority of the population think. They don't agree with him.

He's also apparently 'ignorant' that respect and collegiality goes both ways.

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 16:03

PK - I was stunned, stunned how ignorant the VCE are about these issues.

UnalterableSpaceCadet · 13/10/2023 16:03

WearyLady · 13/10/2023 16:01

PK is totally exhausting. I don't know how poor Ben has the stamina to persist.

I would imagine he's running on seething rage and adrenaline. And biccies. Hopefully with a bit of awe at his own brilliance, and with the vision of a large gin on a warm beach in the future.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 13/10/2023 16:04

I do admire an academic discipline that makes a virtue out of woolly thinking. I'm in the wrong job.

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 16:04

You don't need to be invited to join a research network there was nothing stopping him being involved if he wanted

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 16:05

Oh goody, BC is going to refer to PK's demeanour and hyperbole in his submissions.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 16:06

PK: It's a serious allegation that any of the people who signed the letter would have tried to shut GCRN down.

BC: I will suggest your manner and approach to this session as well as evidence from what happened points to another conclusion

PK: You can suggest away. Not the case. Would be an awful misrepresentation of my position.

RethinkingLife · 13/10/2023 16:07

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:57

PK re GCRN: Why would you not include the esteemed colleagues who are already working in this area. It's breathtaking.

Why would Essex have been persuaded to cancel an event with Rosa Freedman and JP?

These are the mysteries of our times and has a contribution to why the tribunal has been convened (in a very roundabout way) to address the issues at the heart of it.

JoIsBraverThanIAm · 13/10/2023 16:07

"sometimes life is very painful like that" - I avoided naming Prof Phoenix but sure I was attacking her personally

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 13/10/2023 16:08

Did he just admit to attacking the six GCRN network members?

JoIsBraverThanIAm · 13/10/2023 16:08

Yes, he did. I'm not sure he realises it though.

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 16:09

PK mentions he worked with International Planned Parenthood.

ickky · 13/10/2023 16:09

PK pleading to the Judge to be allowed to finish.

OP posts:
Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 16:09

BC: Allegations of bad faith re GCRN is allegations agst individuals. Actions called for would have affected those individuals

KP: starts on another spiel

BC: Not asking you why. If you ask univ to do something to GCRN with 6 id'd individual it would have affected them

PK: I'll answer that if you'll let me go off on ....

J: Please answer the q

PK: Yes it will

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 16:09

PK is so keen to get his views across he just doesn't care that he talks over BC and the judge

RethinkingLife · 13/10/2023 16:10

ickky · 13/10/2023 16:01

PK phone going off, judge tells him to turn it off, PK mumbles it is not a sabotage attempt. 😂

We've all been there. The arrangement with a friend for X mins into something, the pre-arranged message to say, "It's all grand, see you tomorrow" or "Oh noes, I'll meet you in 30 mins. See you soon" etc.…

murasaki · 13/10/2023 16:10

Have planted a nice flower. Well worth it.

Froodwithatowel · 13/10/2023 16:10

PK: You can suggest away. Not the case. Would be an awful misrepresentation of my position.

In short:

"I shall inform you of my identified reality of what has happened in this session, and you would be bigoted/wrong to insist your perceptions are different'.

The man's barking. They're all barking. Are my taxes paying for any of this? Why are we subjecting people to suffering 'education' from people like this? And why the hell am I in a job that requires responsibility, accountability, basic common sense etc as opposed to earning big bucks for just burbling random bollocks and instructing other people that they must perceive I was brilliant?

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 16:11

Cogent on the bingo card pls

PK: Also, I'm brought up a Catholic....

J: PK, I am going to stop you. We just need an answer to the q

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 16:11

The judge refereeing well here.

GCITC · 13/10/2023 16:11

The judge stepping in again.

"I will have to stop you. We just need you to answer the question"

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 16:11

Judge intervenes again.

I'm so tired of this. How on earth does BC cope?

TaytoCheeseandOnion · 13/10/2023 16:12

Is FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST JUST ANSWER THE CUNTING FUCKING QUESTION on the bingo card?

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 16:12

Ben - be as pedantic as you want! We need it.
