The Judge and the women on here seem to be the ONLY ones who listened to the podcast. Certainly Jo's colleagues don't seem to have listened, it's all about what someone else told them was in it.

NO mention of anyone being burned in it. Nothing transphobic in it from Jo.
Had there been, we can be sure there would be a queue of cops at her front door.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:55

PK finding double negatives difficult.

PK - 'esteemed colleagues'

Normcore · 13/10/2023 15:56

RethinkingLife · 13/10/2023 14:03

It's particularly chilling that these people

  • are the academy
  • have wielded substantial power
  • are supported by the infrastructure of bodies like universities
  • are funded by the resources of bodies like universities
  • have no mechanisms of accountability despite impact on others like Jo
  • control the literature in several fields of research
  • influence social and public policy
  • [insert own miserable reflection and set of concerns…]

I think they are sending their best. These trans people and trans allies have found up to the present day
nice income stream,
lots of well paid jobs
a get out of (men’s) jail card
instant specialness
power without responsibility
easy vote win
allowed to bully anyone they want
access to women’s sports, changing rooms , prisons etc
easy way to the top in academia
sexual fetishes allowed in public
I think they have been extremely clever and dangerous

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:57

PK re GCRN: Why would you not include the esteemed colleagues who are already working in this area. It's breathtaking.

ickky · 13/10/2023 15:57

esteemed colleagues 😂

OP posts:
CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 15:57

PK - GCRN may have been quite genuine in those aims but why wouldn't you include esteemed colleagues already working in that area? It's breathtaking.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:57

PK self-iding as an esteemed colleague

pronounsbundlebundle · 13/10/2023 15:57

I do not think PB, LD and this guy (PK?) care about transpeople at all.

PK has shown he's willing to disregard the preference of some to use the term transsexuals.

Gender ideology is a way for academic bullies to bully, apparently with impunity. It's McCarthyism, they enjoy denouncing people (for recognising scientific fact!!).

GCITC · 13/10/2023 15:58

Just answer the fucking question!

chilling19 · 13/10/2023 15:58

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:57

PK self-iding as an esteemed colleague

Ha!

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/10/2023 15:58

I also think OU are sending their best. I think if these people were in a more rigorous discipline they wouldn't have achieved these levels of success. But a discipline that clouds language and doesn't allow debate is perfect for people without the academic ability to develop a logical argument

ickky · 13/10/2023 15:58

I assume there was nothing stopping them joining the GC network?

OP posts:
Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 15:59

BC: Not my q. You would have wanted to try to stop them setting up. That's why you're angry not to be incl

PK: We are angry that it's a fait accompli. No one working in LGBT area would be hostile to GC. No evidence.

BC: We've already seen some

GCITC · 13/10/2023 16:00

Is fait acompli on the bingo card?

LarkLane · 13/10/2023 16:00

ickky · 13/10/2023 15:58

I assume there was nothing stopping them joining the GC network?

Lack of the ability to think critically? A pretty invitation with balloons on perhaps?

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 16:00

PKs phone has gone off.

Mmmnotsure · 13/10/2023 16:00

PK turning off his phone. So accomplished. Esteemed. Etc

GCITC · 13/10/2023 16:00

I think someone is calling PK to try help him out.

ickky · 13/10/2023 16:01

PK phone going off, judge tells him to turn it off, PK mumbles it is not a sabotage attempt. 😂

Might have been him phoning a friend

WearyLady · 13/10/2023 16:01

PK is totally exhausting. I don't know how poor Ben has the stamina to persist.

CriticalCondition · 13/10/2023 16:02

Sounds like PK has been in the public gallery watching on some days.

He's phoned a friend

He's been watching Who Wants to be a Stonewall Millionaire?
