Continuation of Thread 5.

There is so much excellent information and so many active discussions on FWR that I wondered if it would be useful to have a thread to sort of "cross-fertilise" between them - airing little thoughts or vignettes that wouldn't themselves merit their own thread, to highlight other posts/threads of particular interest or to point to notable developments on fast-moving threads so that casual observers know where to look.

(For example, "the X thread has meandered onto a fascinating discussion of Y" or "Poster P's amazing analysis on thread Z might have relevance to the scenario in thread W" or "Has anybody noticed this recurring theme that keeps coming up??" or even "Random bloke asked me to smile while I was choosing onions in the supermarket, grr"- that sort of thing).

Jimmy Carr's was the nastiest but that's no surprise. I'd rather vomit up my own spleen than go to one of his shows.

I don’t think it moved, Elderberry - the OP mentions not being a regular poster on FWR and normally just reading to learn more about the issues.

YouTube randomly threw this at me. Now, i could be wrong (I hope I am) but I thought Dara was TRSOH, TWAW. Yet here he is violently throwing around words like men and women as though there are going to be no consequences for him. He even seems to know that <gasp> only women get pregnant, the transphobic bastard.

Incidentally, peeing on sophisticated stuff, totally would have sold it to me. Shows what he knows.

This thread, about the capture of training programmes for social work, is revealing. And as a broader recurring theme, it's a chilling (and if you were new to this topic, astonishing) reminder of how completely the halls of power in every part of Anglophone society have been captured.

Have you read the Qld Education policy on LGBT+++ ?
Keeping in mind that the Qld Education Minister is approaching all this as the mother of a trans-identified adult child…

Any child who identifies as the opposite gender (from primary school up), is automatically permitted to choose the toilet/changeroom/sport team/accommodation option they identify with.

The schools are encouraged to assist transition at school, without informing the parents, as the parents may need to be encouraged to accept the new identity (and the more entrenched the child, the more difficult for the parents to stop/moderate/etc it).

Parents and teachers who do not immediately affirm, support and encourage GI are ‘reminded’ that their behaviour and/or opposition can and should be reported to the anti-discrimination commission.

Similarly, if the parents of other students in the class are informed of (eg) a trans-identified male using female toilets/changerooms/etc, then whoever breached ‘confidentiality’ would be referred to the anti-discrimination commission.

This article really goes into the whole horror of the operations that some people have to turn them into a "man" or a "woman" and why children should be kept well away from any medical intervention until they're old enough to make a really bad decision for themselves. You have to subscribe to read but it's free.

@Ereshkigalangcleg good article. Please read the comments from BevJo below too. She's got a Change petition trying to find signatures to save a lesbian publication from being eaten by the trans bodysnatchers and a link to her substack (only one article, so far I think) saying why it's important.

Oh I love that! I love how brutal and honest she is. I dream of the opportunity to say any of what she said IRL but am almost sad it’s a dream unlikely to come true.

“Makes your penis sad and hurts your feelings” would be considered genocidal by some, LITERAL VIOLENCE, but it’s at the core of their behaviour.
