Surely if the perpetrators were male, it would help to actually say so in order to find them?
They're clearly dangerous criminals on the run, so why would the priority not be finding them instead of using inclusive language to describe the dangerous criminals who need to be found?
How could the police be accused of misgendering someone based on someone else's physical description of them anyway? I get they've been Stonewalled but how mad is it that the conversation must have gone "I was attacked by a man in a cropped top" "oh, you mean a woman, then". The person in question isn't even there to state their gender identity...because they're a bloody sex criminal on the run.
Obviously not many people know a 6'3" woman (and it was likely a disguise to disarm the victim by playing on the notion that it's transphobic to be scared of transwomen), so they'll never be caught at this rate.
