Looks as if the police are attempting to use the methodology they use to deal with paedophiles / sex offenders / stalkers on CF?

CF has not been charged let alone convicted. She is in court tomorrow and they wanted her to go in without any actual idea of what she had been accused of. It seems to be mainly misgendering.

And her pointing out this police action will probably be used in court to show how unhinged she is online.

And for this she is treated to the same management as a paedophile.

Basically, Caroline is being hounded by the police on the behest of a trans identifying person, for posts she may and may not have made on twitter.

The police response has been disproportionate.

Sorry, I meant social media, not just twitter. She is accused of being someone posting on Kiwi Farms too. Although she does have an account there, under her own name, but she's been accused of being other posters on there too. Which I highly doubt!

She had been keeping a diary of her movements day in day out to prove that she couldn't have been a poster on Kiwi Farms as she was in the shops/playing the organ in church/in a meeting at the time of posting.

The reason they have given the very short notice of the accusations is so that she cannot cross reference and disprove these allegations.

They weren't going to give her the allegations at all before court. I'd be interested to know how often that happens.

Why the hell doesn't she have better lawyers? It just seems quite obvious harassment and surely a better lawyer could stop the police from harassing her in this way? IANAL of course....

Mind you other women have suffered similarly for saying men aren't women on twitter.

Let's just remember that actual flashing by Wayne Couzens, with witnesses, resulted in no police action.

The police seem to have decided she is guilty bypassing the courts. There is no way this is a proportionate response to 'misgendering' - it's clearly a 'burn the witch' punishment.

I am sure it's breaching GDPR to demand she give up all her information in this way. What risk does she pose? She's never been violent or convicted of anything!

And you have men like Couzen's and Carrick committing actual crimes and getting away with it.

Poor Caroline, the police are being used to harass, its them that should be in court.

Does she have a garden for legal assistance? She needs the best lawyer available to help her fight this.

Also, what about the children? And her husband? Do they not have a right to privacy and safeguarding - which the police having access to their home from 8am to 8pm is not.

And this statement 'he police officer says this:

Is not at all reassuring. Couzens and Carrick were police officers - could they have made this decision about one of their victims? We know the police force has a misogyny problem. Can any police officer just decide someone's guilty and curtail their human right to privacy (and incidentally that of their family too) in this way?

This seems like clear human rights abuses by the police of not only Caroline (who does have unproven allegations against her) but also of her not even accused children and husband.

It's chilling. I know not all the most prominent groups like CF but I really hope those with legal expertise will step up because if this can happen to Caroline, her children and her husband then I feel none of us have freedom of speech to say men cannot be women. We will live in fear of the police putting us under some form of surveillance like this. How is this different from coercive control? Control of everything you do online and the ability to turn up and force entry at any time. It's state sanctioned coercive control.

The police asked that “physical paperwork” relating to the court hearing against me in 2 days, was withheld from me. They wanted me to go to a court hearing without access to the accusations and alleged evidence.

I bloody well hope that her solicitor explains that to the court and shows them the evidence. It's monstrous and I'm sure, completely illegal not to disclose the evidence to an accused person; the copper who has decided to do this should face legal action.

As people have already said, it must have been done with the express purpose of preventing her from being able to alibi herself.

is the argument that she is stalking her stalker (or is it Surrey police she is “stalking”?) by documenting police harassment on Twitter?

I can’t imagine any set of circumstances which would make it okay for the cops to have censorship rights over what can be posted online by a victim of targeted harassment from cops. Are they still associating her with random KiwiFarms accounts?
