He also misused the suicide stats yet again. For the leader of a political party that's appalling.

Andrew Marr was brilliant, wasn’t he? He asked the question 3 times. Waffle waffle. Deflect. Blame Boris Johnson. And again admitting that no spaces should be off limits. Toilets, hospitals, prisons etc.

Good. I think Marr hasn't pushed hard enough on this in the past. I have recollections of him being a bit wishy washy with other guests.

Ed Davey does himself and his party no favours. He also seemed a bit confused at one point - I’m not certain he understands the terms properly. Politicians are good at appearing to understand things when they really don’t have a clue.

That's Lib Dem party policy is it not? I seem to remember they made a statement as such. Ed should probably know that.

Most trans women I talk to identify readily as adult human females, and transmen as adult human males. So I don't really see the issue, other than it being a dog whistle for attempted crass segregation.

Why does Boris Johnson not have lots of cross-party groups?

Labour & the Lib Dem’s are being so monumentally stupid over this it beggars belief. It’s quite obvious it’s now going to be brought up a lot and even more so come election times. Is it really so hard to formulate a policy that says “women are women, Tw are TW, both have rights, these may at times conflict and we must be sure to protect both but not at the expense of women ” or some such?

Just been watching Andrew Marr and Ed Davey and I’m dumbfounded by Ed’s answer. Spaces open to all, recites mantras, (which now is sounding a bit like prayers we used to chant, back in the day) blames ‘toxic debate’ on Boris. Sorry Ed, you can blame Boris for many things but I think this one is on the liberal left.
