Apologies, I don't have a Telegraph subscription so can't read the full article but the bones of it from Twitter are that Ofsted have LEFT Stonewall.

Hopefully this is the beginning on the end of the gender ideology in our schools.

Shock

This should make it easier to challenge schools who are signed up. Excellent news.

Oh wow!!!

FannyCann · 05/06/2021 07:41

Oh my word. That is very good news indeed! Brilliant news. I really hope this will be the beginning of a return to normality in schools. ❤️

moomoogalicious · 05/06/2021 07:42

Amazing. I'm currently challenging my school as they want to socially transition my daughter without my consent.

FannyCann · 05/06/2021 07:45

Not sure if this link will work. The Telegraph currently has an offer of £1 a week for six months. They seem to do a lot of good deals. I was given a one year free subscription thanks to NHS offers at the start of Covid and then got a very cheap renewal deal. Anyway this is their latest offer.

That’s hopeful news.

Waspie · 05/06/2021 07:48

The Times are reporting that Channel 4, DVLA and Moon Beevor (legal) have also withdrawn. I don't know how to do share tokens, sorry:

Sorry, don't think the link works but if interested maybe try phoning subscriptions?

It went on to ask if primary schools would be marked as “requires improvement” or “inadequate” – the lowest grades in Ofsted inspections – if children were not made aware of “specifically, sexual orientation and gender reassignment”.

Fuck, Stonewall have some damn cheek!

This sentence from the Telegraph article seems significant (thanks for the archive link, by the way);

The Telegraph understands the Government is due to make a decision next week on whether to withdraw Whitehall departments from the scheme.

Whatwouldscullydo · 05/06/2021 07:55

Omg. They actually do make it sound like a protection racket there if they want ratings to be reliant On how much they teach chiodreb about GI.

The anticipation!

They do have some damned cheek but I think, (very happy to be corrected) that this is a criterion they measure against so it would be even better if OFSTED reconsidered how and what they assess.

I'm not sure when that was changed but I suspect that it was connected to the (now ex) Perm Sec of Ed as with surprising speed after his departure the now so new government guidelines about dangerous stereotypes were issued.

PerditaCambellBlack · 05/06/2021 07:56

Great news

Fucking hell! As a teacher, I rarely approve of Ofsted decisions. This one I can completely get behind.

Stonewall - "nice little school you have here. Wouldn't it be a shame it Ofsted had to give you an awful rating? Let's see how we can remedy that?"

Nothing but a protection racket.

Thank you so much for sharing this, it’s the most fabulous news to wake up to.

IheartJKR · 05/06/2021 07:59

Wow this has made my day!!

AnnaPa · 05/06/2021 07:59

Oh to be a fly on the wall in the Stonewall uk office right now.

I would hope the safeguarding aspect of schools would object massively to this as well.

Waspie · 05/06/2021 08:02

Thank you rogdmum.

The Roll on Friday article is very good and the comments heartening also.
