I didn't think it was possible for political discourse to get more divisive and extreme in a civilized society, but Frances Carmel Hoole, who apparently standing for election, tweeted a meme of herself threatening Joanna Cherry with a spray bottle of bleach and the term T*RF.

She has deleted it and is now complaining about the sound condemnation she is receiving on Twitter. I need to get a hammock for my face to help with the continual dropping of my jaw.

Awful how she is trying to victim blame, insinuating Joanna is causing the pile on.

What a weird and nasty thing to tweet.

This is very serious. Can you report it to the Labour Party even if your not a member/ voter?

The damage control attempt is to blur that this is a threat and feign innocence. Total bullshit. You gleefully post a picture of yourself with chemicals pointed at the woman you are using a slur about, clearly indicating that you are using the bleach chemicals as an attack to get rid of the woman.

I think Cherry's seat is safe but this is indeed disgusting. Hopefully Labour will be wiped out in Scotland.

Why? What if the advocacy groups are not interested in women’s rights (cf stonewall)

Perhaps this charming candidate would be better suited to being a women's officer? That seems to be where Labour usually put their misogynists.

But what if two different advocacy groups say two different things? Like on every issue of any substance in the world ever?

I'd rather go with what Winifred Holtby had Sarah Newton say in South Riding':

I bet she lives on twitter and only speaks to wokesters in RL. That kind of bubble would certainly lull you into thinking approving of threats against female MPs was just a bit of a larf.

Outside the cesspit, real world people and politics are much less forgiving. These people really don't have any real world connections, do they?

I a totally stumped about who to vote for, normally I'm a Labour voter. This sort of nonsense is not helping.
