If the slice of cake had that gloopy an icing then Konditor has some recipe revision to do.

The cake in the picture does not have the icing on the model's face: her fingers are not covered in icing nor are they sliding into what would have to be very loose, yet gravity-defying icing.

Laboriously, yes, a contrived image and that's before picking up some inadvertent information from that Twitter thread.

The clue is in the fact no adult would shove their face in a piece of cake like that. It doesn't make sense in the context they claimed to have created it. I enjoy cake but I don't wear it.
