I got a reply from Penny Mordaunt's office today. Quite a fast reply.

I suggest as many people as possible email her to ask if she knows this consultation has been promoted widely abroad and - especially - by Stonewall to children as young as primary school age.

Because it strikes me that the whole thing is massively contaminated.

Here is a link to the Fair Play for Women guidance, which I found very helpful:
fairplayforwomen.com/how-to/

They've made a very quick and easy email option:

ShackUp · 11/10/2018 17:13

I did it yesterday with FPFW website help!

Thesuzle · 11/10/2018 17:15

Just sent mine off

NowtSalamander · 11/10/2018 17:16

Yes! It’s easy with the FLfW help - don’t bother to read the government notes which are just frustrating tosh.

PlasticAlternative · 11/10/2018 17:17

I did it a couple weeks ago. Its fairly straightforward.

heresyandwitchcraft · 11/10/2018 17:28

Deadline for the consultation is the 19th October!

For those people who wish to read even MORE resources (although the Fair Play guidance is more than enough on its own!) here are some more links.

Woman's Place UK has also published some guidance:

And Transgender Trend have commented on the GRA consultation:

FekkoTheLawyer · 11/10/2018 17:29

If course. So have my sisters and their partners and friends.... And so the ripples extend.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 11/10/2018 18:01

Yes, just done it.

Serfisafleur · 11/10/2018 18:08

Shock
Catmint · 11/10/2018 18:08

Yes, I used FPFW and WPUK guidance to give a full response.

Am persuading DH to complete it.

terryleather · 11/10/2018 18:48

Am about half way through it but can only do a couple of questions at a time before stopping to allow my blood pressure to go down.
Hopefully I'll have it submitted by the beginning of next week...

Deliriumoftheendless · 11/10/2018 18:59

I did it last week, a bit here, a bit there over 3 days. Didn’t take long and I used FPFW’s resources for help. Then they brought out the quick fill in thing Grin

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 11/10/2018 19:01

My DF did it today. Took ages over it. My DM plans to send the FPFW email tomorrow. They're both over 80.

dianebrewster · 11/10/2018 19:03

FPFW have a short version that the govt say they will accept. On,y tales a few minutes - link on their front page.

Sicario · 11/10/2018 19:11

It took me about an hour. I would recommend having essentials nearby like tea, coffee, biscuits, cheese, wine, etc. I found the questionnaire quite difficult to understand because it seemed to bend language and avoid the definition of sex. There was no acknowledgement of any conflict with defined, sex-based laws. This is terrifying stuff.

GrinitchSpinach · 11/10/2018 19:43

I just submitted it!

Took me 90 minutes, but I had a lot to say. The guidance from FPfW was invaluable in pointing to the most relevant questions.

Thanks to all who have worked so hard to spread the word!

MrsBertBibby · 11/10/2018 19:52

Done.

And so did my other half.

DragonGoby · 11/10/2018 19:54

I've done it. So have DH and my mum.

Hulo · 11/10/2018 19:55

Just finished about an hour or so ago!

NothingTraLaLa · 11/10/2018 19:57

I did mine last week. I'm a solicitor so I'm used to cutting through jargon in documents, but bloody hell the questions were worded so as to be almost incomprehensible. I'm glad I had the crib sheet available to help me understand what the questions were getting at.

teenytinypontypine · 11/10/2018 19:59

Done here, as has DH

Methe · 11/10/2018 20:08

Just mine and so has DH.

buckingfrolicks · 11/10/2018 20:37

God I love MN sometimes. I did it. Would not have done, but for the education I've received courtesy of MN. Thank you
