The guidance for WPUK is the link I just gave.

whiteroseredrose · 19/10/2018 12:53

DH and I did the one click version each last night. Bit concerned that I didn't get a confirmation email though. Did anyone else?

Really hope it works because my parents and the inlaws did it too as did a couple of friends and work colleagues.

I was wary of asking people to spend hours filling in but the quick version is no hassle so I'm approaching everyone I dare.

whiteroseredrose · 19/10/2018 12:55

I'm with you #belderan. My DD believes TWAW and should be treated as such. Has no answer to my queries though.

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 13:24

How old is she?

WomanAndProud · 19/10/2018 13:28

I have not filled this in because I'm not in the U.K. and would have to fake a postcode. I absolutely would, but DON'T want to bugger up results or undermine them, which it could potentially do, if these things were looked into.

I am willing everybody to do it though.

And have fingers crossed.

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 13:30

Do you need a UK address though

beldaran · 19/10/2018 13:39

Not sure who your question is to Fekko but I'll happily answer.

My DD is 11, she has cerebral palsy and is non verbal. She is also very GNC as am I. DDs GNC is causing her some mental anguish as she's been mistaken for boy a couple of times in the last 2 weeks and it's really bothered her to the point that she is actively choosing pink clothes etc even though she hates the colour!

I did write a huge post about her but I don't want to out myself or her but needless to say she's been told very firmly that she can like whatever she likes and it doesn't change the fact that she's female.

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 13:40

Go debbie Hayton! R4 now. Good to hear their voice (not sure if debbie says he or she - but I know debbie wouldn't threaten to lamp me for getting it wrong).

I identify with women
I respect their boundaries
New group of women - including men
We need to talk... And listen

Can't keep up. Go debbie!

God... A non binary queer drag queen (call me 'they') and Paris L coming up next. Fehhhhhh.

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 13:41

Bel - it was to the poster who was abroad and didn't full out the form.

ahagwearsapointybonnet · 19/10/2018 13:42

I did mine ages ago (luckily, as I wrote essays for most of the questions!) but DH after playing fucking devils' advocate to wind me up for the past several months for which I have still not entirely forgiven him tried to finish his last night and couldn't because it was so slow - but he finished it off early this morning when it was quiet! So that will help redeem him at least a bit.

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 13:46

This bloke's a tool (r4) bleating about mental health. They call themselves 'they' and say they are non binary. So not exactly.... Arrrghhh 'they' is pissed off and upset it be misgendered - they says they is a 'they' ffs. Someone wants attention, eh?

Lees banging on about racial segregated loos in the US. And they use ladies loos.

I'd he says 'Cis' again I will... What? Going on about black people again?

Where is debbie?? Why is there no 'live' voice of sense on here?

Last word to... oh that'll be Paris then.

VodkaRevelation · 19/10/2018 13:54

I send the FPfW pre filled form last night. Thanks so much to them for providing that; I don’t feel Inwould have been able to articulate what I needed to say, left to my own devices.

Sent to my DM and she has also sent it off, and will be sharing the link with my DF too.

ShineOnHarvestMoon · 19/10/2018 14:02

I've done it.

Website kept falling over, but you should know that if you just 'Refresh' the web browser each time, you eventually get through it.

AugustL · 19/10/2018 14:34

Finally sent in the damn thing, not as perfect as i'd like but just happy to get rid of it at this point. Let's hope I don't get a knock on the door from the police for a thought crime.

My friend did it too, she didn't put her address because was scared of trans activists targeting her if it would ever come out somehow, she emailed the gra consultation to say this and they said she didn't have to put her address. Even though it says 'must' fill out this form on the details page?? They confirmed again that she didn't have to, it would still be accepted. Hmmm I'm dubious but...

Also I forgot to say on the form somewhere that Theresa May says she wants do 'demedicalise ' the process, by doing so i.e. removing gender dysphoria diagnosis (if that's what she means), she could be inadvertently encouraging the pathologising and medicalisation of people who are simply gender non-conforming.

Lazyteens · 19/10/2018 14:36

I used the one-click FPFW form last night but also didn’t get a confirmatory email. It said that it was completed successfully but I have checked my spam and it’s not there. I am also stressing as I can’t remember whether I clicked on the anonymous option- I really don’t want my name in the public domain...

MyBeloved · 19/10/2018 14:47

I received a confirmation email.

Boglin · 19/10/2018 15:07

Lazyteens, the default option on the one-click version was to not release name details or response.

AugustL · 19/10/2018 15:09

Btw I made the point in other ways, but wanted to make it with direct reference to Theresa May's comment.

@Lazyteens

I didn't use the FPFW form so don't know how it works regarding confirmation from the GRA team, but when I looked at the page a while ago I think it was automatically set to anonymous but maybe you could email gra team and tell them to make it anonymous if unsure [email protected]

AugustL · 19/10/2018 15:11

Oh Boglin has already said it

Redkeyboard · 19/10/2018 15:12

If emailing you can download here: mobile.twitter.com/WomenEqualities/status/1053283829933318145

LizzieSiddal · 19/10/2018 15:19

My DH did the one click thing earlier, it was so easy! Thank you to FPFW from him!

arranfan · 19/10/2018 16:40

I had so many proxy errors that I opted to send my whole consultation document in as an email. I received this automated response.

UPDATE REGARDING ONLINE RESPONSE TO THE CONSULTATION

Anyone wishing to complete the Gender Recognition Act consultation which closes at 11pm Friday 19 October who is experiencing difficulties completing the response online can submit their consultation response to this email. We have a document on gov.uk which contains the questions. Just download this, complete it and send us your response via email [email protected]. The document is available using the link here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/749799/Gender_Recognition_Act_consultation_questions__Word_Document_version_.odt

Any response that comes in this way will be treated exactly the same as if it had been submitted through the online portal.

The company hosting the consultation is actively working to resolve the issues with the site. The consultation, which has been running since 3 July, has already received over 53,000 responses.

AugustL · 19/10/2018 16:46

53,000, wow

FekkoTheLawyer · 19/10/2018 17:01

I wonder how many of them are transbots or botzovskis?

FlorenceLyons · 19/10/2018 17:06

Submitted. Had planned to do a personal submission, but ran out of time so used the FPFW version. Many thanks to everyone involved in setting this option up.
