Yes, I know Fionne is male but I find it difficult to use ‘he’ for Fionne.
I've noticed that phenomena in Twitter engagements. Women do respond to Fionne in a different way to men or even other GC trans accounts. It's clearly subconscious but women do seem interact as with another woman - ironically, perhaps because Fionne is so open about acknowledging her (and yes, I'm doing it too!) male biology and refusing to infiltrate women's spaces.
I think this may be the reason Joss and co get so angry about her. There is no way they will ever be treated or accepted like that and the more they bully and posture the less chance they have. They also have no intention of listening to or respecting women, perhaps because they can't and won't let go of all that conditioning. Fionne not only represents what they can never be, she is aware of the constraints of sex and doesn't disguise that.
And yes, Fionne is constantly graceful and measured in the face of extreme provocation!
