Gender Critical Greatest Hits

I am trying to compile a list of the key highlights of the gender debate, a ‘greatest hits’ if you will Grin of the most succinct and shocking things that have happened over the past few years. The sort of thing that would ‘peak’ people.

It’s for a (creative) project that I can’t say anything about just now.

If you could contribute anything I would be very grateful. The kind of things I have so far are:

Bomb threat against WPUK

Danielle Muscato taking a place in a woman’s shelter and tweeting “some women have penises. If you’re bothered by this you can suck my dick”

Shon Faye “enjoy your erasure”

Lily Madigan comparing race for life with apartheid. Looking for a more up to date Lily abomination but there are so many, any suggestions?

Kimberley Nixon suing Vancouver rape relief

What would you add to the greatest hits?

How can it be a 'moral failure' to refuse to collude in the lie used by a child murdering rapist in order that he can game the system and have access to women.

These people really are breathtaking.

I can understand it if that is your own personal agenda. You personally want the access. Criminals lie all the time.

But to make other people collude in it to aid those criminals?

This thread is not doing my blood pressure any good at all.

The point for me with the huntley story was, it didnt really matter whether he is trans or not. No one really knows how true that claim is. The issue was the extent to which some people defended his right to be placed in a womans prison and not to be dead named.

That is how fucking twisted the whole thing has become.

Yes exactly. The Ian Huntley thing is all a bit 'urban legend', no one really has any idea what is going on about it.

The point is that here is a man who is a very obvious danger to women and children. But for some people the most important thing is that his right to 'identify' as he sees fit is paramount, and if that means placing him in prison with women and all the risks that that would entail, well that's just collateral. As long as we don't deadname.

It’s for a purpose, will take a few months but hopefully this labour will bear fruit Smile

The recent article about trans women having periods, just without the blood

Lavenderbathbomb · 28/07/2018 12:58

When a petition was created on 38 degrees last summer, asking the government to consult with women about self ID. Worded in a very neutral and careful way. The petition gained nearly 1000 signatures before the anti-women woke bros who run 38 degrees removed it for being transphobic.

The mass tantrum about Jennifer James crowdfunded which the trans crybabies got removed temporarily.

ConfessionsOfTeenageDramaQueen · 28/07/2018 14:03

Haven't RTFT but Edward Lord, who is currently overseeing the City of London gender survey, who claims he is "gender-neutral" and "trans women are women" and has created a leading survey which aims to erode single-sex spaces such as Hampstead Ponds' ladies' pond being a member of Freemasons, a group which excludes women.

TheMostBeautifulDogInTheWorld · 28/07/2018 14:06

VickyEadie your post from yesterday (Fri 27-Jul-18 11:31:27) - I seem to remember that photograph was in the Guardian in an article about AWS which I have been looking for but can't find - I don't suppose you have a link to the actual article? (I want to plonk it down in front of my (Labour) MP and be able to say "Really? This is really what you think an all women shortlist should look like?")

Edward Lord OBE "I am non-binary because I am a feminist; because I hate toxic masculinity; because I want to bring an end to patriarchy and misogyny; and because I feel love, affinity and solidarity for trans and queer siblings of whatever gender."

I think you're right that it was in the Guardian, but I can't find it. I found this in the Telegraph, however.

Thank you Vicky.

Ereshkigal · 28/07/2018 14:47

Any classic joss prior and jess Bradley?

Joss Prior: the infamous Zapruder interpretation piece victim blaming Maria McLachlan which TRAs still think is what happened at Speakers Corner

Jess Bradley: lots, including the recent sky interview where Jess affirms that there is no such thing as s real woman and suggests that gender critical feminists shouldn't be allowed to hold the views that we do.

lisamuggeridge · 28/07/2018 16:19

Jane fae's unchallenged rape apologism and the constant message that trans rights mean women have no right to sexual boundaries and by the way we are all bigots if we say we do. Enjoy your erasure Faye defaming a doctor as a peadophile on Newsnight and then demanding ew ignore frameworks for contested medical treatment, before telling kids to get tits and suck cock and everyone else how discussing safeguarding is hate speech. The assault on Skepticat, the targeting of me by a major political party I have no connection to becuase understanding safeguarding means me and my daughter have to be terrorised, @publicgoat declaring womanhood meant spending time as a councillor trying to end sex based protections. Aimee Challoner getting institutional support for industrialised stalking and harassment of women for discussing inequality, after eight years of austerity, on the basis that this is not stalking and abuse of 50000 women if you identify as a woman. Feminism turning into lesbians have to do dick, if you discuss your lives we will punch you and Roz kaveney trying to end female freedom of assembly cos identity meant that had to be....the way this extraordinary violent misogyny has been pushed on us. Mumsnet deleting a thread that mentioned me, because my existence is just problematic these days...

lisamuggeridge · 28/07/2018 16:21

The open grooming of children, and helping them access unprescribed medication, and the people doing it being cited as transgender activists in an Atlantic article...

lisamuggeridge · 28/07/2018 16:31

I dont know if I can continue to describe abusive males with female names when those names are only used to avoid challenge for abusive and harmful behaviour. I dont care about mumsnet's rules, thats not ok to ask from women.

A newborn infnt being poisoned and denied nutrition to gratify an adult male identity, and Paris Lees stating it validated the belief that biology changes. A newborn infant being abused in a way that UK law clearly treats as horrific child abuse and the progressive press called it a civil rights battle.

A prolific peadophile starving themselves to get access to female prisoners and the Guardian writing it up like Nelson Mandela himself and not mentioning the fact it was a prolific peadophile.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 28/07/2018 17:30

There's this thread I started a while back about Google results being skewed for the phrase 'women killed in 2017' to show mostly stats on assaults on transgender people.

I take it t*rfblocker has been mentioned - facility to block huge lists of other Twitter accounts suspected of being gender critical, which at one point included a Brownie pack in Battersea, IIRC. Grin Thread about the data protection aspects and possibility of defamation here.

Dr Adrian Harrop, passim. Sample thread here. Incredibly patronising man who said 'I trust you will learn a valuable lesson from this, Olivia' to a woman who had received death threats for expressing a gender critical opinion on that late night TV programme with Caitlyn Jenner.

And then there's a couple of tweets I found this morning and posted on another thread. The juxtaposition of the two is really horrifying. So here they are again.

Oh yes, and the so called journal article about that transgender breastfeeding man is here. Thread on it (one of several, I think) here.

Sarahconnor1 · 28/07/2018 18:14

Lisa's post reminded me. The Labour against transphobia group which had a spreadsheet of women's names and 'evidence' of gender critical thought crimes. The purpose was to get women suspended from the Labour party, although women who weren't Labour party members were also added to the list.
