Gender Critical Greatest Hits

I am trying to compile a list of the key highlights of the gender debate, a ‘greatest hits’ if you will Grin of the most succinct and shocking things that have happened over the past few years. The sort of thing that would ‘peak’ people.

It’s for a (creative) project that I can’t say anything about just now.

If you could contribute anything I would be very grateful. The kind of things I have so far are:

Bomb threat against WPUK

Danielle Muscato taking a place in a woman’s shelter and tweeting “some women have penises. If you’re bothered by this you can suck my dick”

Shon Faye “enjoy your erasure”

Lily Madigan comparing race for life with apartheid. Looking for a more up to date Lily abomination but there are so many, any suggestions?

Kimberley Nixon suing Vancouver rape relief

What would you add to the greatest hits?

Appalling manipulative "research" into the issue of MTFs in women's refuges from Stonewall. They don't ask female service users (as they clearly should have done) because they know they value single sex spaces.

I dont think have ever seen such openly expressed callous contempt for rape survivors and dv survivors. At least it used to hide behind the language of everyone is committed to dv as a priority...I never thought I would witness such callous disregard, aggression and contempt aimed at the most vulnerable by definition...its staggering to see.

The list of oppressors here and the weapons used against those 'oppressors' is extraordinry. Mothers, lesbians, domestic abuse and rape survivors and teenage girls.

Canada current situation:
Woman in refuge forced to share room with male born person, denied HR legal support when she describes the person as male.

L Madigan's belief that Muslim women unwilling to share their space with men simply need to be re-educated.
It's ok to discriminate against others, as long as you get what you want...

I'm mindful that this is a creative project, where images and slogans are powerful. Let me tell you of some images that I find haunting and one that (sort of) amuses me in the Greatest Hits parade.

There's a photo of one of Stonewalls Leadership Training sessions for Google and Vodaphone. The website shows a happy clappy class of diverse people with men holding signs like "I will speak up for Trans Rights" and "I will lead the way for my community".

I can visualise myself photoshopped into the middle with the sub-titles: "he will give men rights at the expense of women and children" and "he leads the community anyway - any room for me?"

I look at Ireland - still high on its achievements as the world's most woke nation. It has embraced a faith-based ideology wholeheartedly but it wasn't very long ago that it was suffering (and continues to suffer) from the abusers hiding in the vestments of the Catholic faith. The irony of swapping one faith for another risky ideology blows my mind.

I look at the trans umbrella and a joke pops into my head. It's not funny (oooh, there's my pink brain showing - women can't tell jokes!)

A cross-dresser, a transvestite and a drag queen walk into a bar and the barwoman points to the door and says.......

TIME, GENTLEMAN PLEASE."

As a survivor I'm finding the crowing about it by TRAs on Twitter very upsetting.

These people have no empathy for women.

IAmInsignificunt · 10/08/2018 00:40

Who was the person who told a teenager to “suck their lady dick” or something along those lines?

D0do · 10/08/2018 06:15

That was the fragrant and delicate Danielle Muscato. Tweet still on Twitter. I don't think it was aimed at a specific person. It was DM's message to the world on International Women's Day. 'TWAW and if you don't like that you can... '
