I think that a lot of the next one will be in Grimauld place.

Sirius' brother is the person who stole the Locket (idea pinched from a clever mate of mine)

Dumbledore ordered Sirius to 'do the deed' and Sirius is a triple agent

I still think Percy Weasly will turn out to be a 'good egg'

Another good idea stolen from someone else is that part of Vodermorts soul is held in Harry's scar!!!! Damn clever that I thought!!!

i too think that rab is sirius's brother.
not keen on the sirious as triple agent theory.did you mean to say snape? that would make more sense! and that is what i'm hoping!

also agree about grimmauld place being important in next book..the locket has to be one of the things that mundungus fletcher has been selling otherwise what was that whole thread of the story about?

Am sure Snape's actions must be morally explicable in ways yet to be revealed... Dumbledore can't have been totally wrong surely?

snapes mother was a witch at hogwarts by the name of eileen prince...left school and married a man called tobias snape.
don't think you have to have a muggle parent to be half blood....the weasley parents are both magical and yet they are blood traitors and not pure bloods.maybe if you have a muggle born grandparent?

i kept reading and hoping at the end it was a bluff on dunbledore's behalf to make death eaters etc thinjk he is dead... or waited for some sort of apparition/message to appear to harry but none!!!!!

i too hope that snape is not bad, dumbledore must have a really good reason why he trusted him...

so how is the next book going to work.. not at hogwarts? not at the school, no dumbledore, harry and co roaming teh place looking for horcuxs (or whatever!)... is the next book the final one????

i love hp books as i am always perplexed by the plot and yet at the end it is always obvious e.g. the half blood prince... or am i just incredibabley naive????

Why is it that I still don't feel that Sirius is dead??? The lack of body (just like with Wormtail in the first place) makes me think he can still pop up somewhere!

How many people worked out who the half blood prince was very early on?

I said way before the book came out that Snape was the half blood prince and I remember getting shot down in flames for it on here. turns out I was right all along!! {That was on my old username}

I can't see how Harry failed to recognise Snapes hand writing in the text book. He's been his teacher for years, he's probably had work back with snapes comments all over it and also in book 5 when Harry goes into the pensieve into snapes memories he sees snape in an exam 'his writing was miniscule and cramped' Order of the phoenix, p565. Just something that puzzles me

I really hoped Snape wasn't evil, much as I hope he's not, got to face the fact now that he's beyond redemption

Snape is half-blood Alexsmum. His daddy was a muggle but like Voldemort it was not something he was proud of.

The Weasley's are definitely pure-blood. They got blasted off the Black family tapistry because they were traitors not because they had muggles in the family.

Really want Snape to be acting on orders but wouldn't Dumbledore have prepared Harry for it?

wasn't regulus black killed personally by Voldemort, according to sirius because he got itchy feet about the whole deatheater business?
Don't understand how he could be the one who stole the locket unless he did a wormtail perhaps??

Hey everyone,

I finished the book yesterday afternoon, was totally engrossed, bit annoyed she's not even starting to write no.7 till beginning next year. Some very interesting theories i've just read on here. Don't know if it;s coz i'm pregnant, but i cried at Dumbledore's funeral, how sad is that?

I think Ginny and Harry seemed really cute...anyone else?

I am dubious about my reasons for wanting Snape not to be bad through and through.. I think they may be related to the fact that I have a thing about Alan Rickman...!

LOVE Harry and Ginny STM! One of my favourite bits along with Hermiones canaries and Luna's commentary!!

Regulus was killed by Voldemort but who knows when the whole switcheroo took place or if he's really dead for that matter. Sirius might only have had a report about it.
