Don't post here if you don't want to know who dies and what happens.

You've been warned.

Remember folks, post SPOILERS here with liberty!

Folks have been warned!

OP posts:
DangerousBeans · 20/07/2007 17:12

The ideas put forward in the Beans' household include:
Dumbledore was never really dead.
Ron carks it.
Snape is a woman.

Blandmum · 20/07/2007 17:14

I think that ron is a mort.

Dumbledore is deffo dead, JK says so

Piffle · 20/07/2007 17:14

ds 13 reckons Hermione buys the farm and dumbledore ain't dead
And that harry has to kill voldemort or vice versa or it's pointless ending it there.

I know nothing as I've not read them before
DS is aghast and very anxious about the deaths...

expatinscotland · 20/07/2007 18:55

Post here when you get hold of the book!

FWIW, I've been winding peeps up.

I don't think he dies, tbh.

Or Hermoine or Ron.

I do think Hagrid snuffs it, though

OP posts:
greensleeves · 20/07/2007 18:58

I definitely reckon Ron goes for a burton

expatinscotland · 20/07/2007 18:58

I know I'm going for a drink in a bar before queuing up .

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 20/07/2007 19:01

I am still not sure about Dumbledore. What JK said was that he does not come back from the dead. What if he never died in the first place? I know I know, I am snatching at straws...

expatinscotland · 20/07/2007 19:02

'No spell can waken the dead', said Nearly Headless Nick.

I'm going to be properly tipsy by the time I get hold of my copy .

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 20/07/2007 19:05

But what if he was never dead in the first place? You do know that Dumbledore's brother is the barkeeper at the pub? What if he was a stand in for Dumbledore?

expatinscotland · 20/07/2007 19:06

DG, the killing curse kills. It didn't bounce back and hit Snape. And JK has said time and again that Dumbledore really is dead.

It happens in books. Fictional characters dies.

Sad, but true.

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 20/07/2007 19:10

But JK got one of her characters to say in an earlier book that to do one of the Unforgiveable curses, you have to mean it. Just saying it isn't enough...

DumbledoresGirl · 20/07/2007 19:11

Oh sorry, don't get me wrong. Am I coming across as some saddo who confuses fiction with real life and can't get it into my head that Dumbledore is dead?

That is not my intention. Just having fun speculating for the last time about this issue. Tomorrow, we will know all anyway. (well you fast readers will, I will take some days to get through 600 pages!)

mamama · 20/07/2007 19:11

Oh no, I've just realised you are all going to get the book 6 hours before me - that's too much time.
DOn't want to wait when I know you'll all be reading it. Damn these timezones

DumbledoresGirl · 20/07/2007 19:12

Ooh mamama, I have been looking for you.

expatinscotland · 20/07/2007 19:12

I'm ringing up my sister in the US to tell her the spoilers as soon as I get my copy.

I'm ringing her on her mobile as she'll be queued up .

OP posts:
mamama · 20/07/2007 19:14

lol @ expat explaining how fictional stories work. Poor DG

mamama · 20/07/2007 19:15
