Does anyone want to start WeightWatchers with me?

I hate jumping into new threads ... everyone has a head start and they aren't all excitable about it like new people.

I lost 2.5 stone a couple of years ago, using WeightWatchers, so I know it works. Unfortunately in the last 6 months, a stone of it has crept back on and I'm really NOT prepared to be fat again. I weighed myself today, and am (gosh) 13st 1lb.

My points allowance is 20, my first goal is 12 stone 8 lb - who's with me!?

I started yesterday, and was very very tempted to eat one of the chocolate digestives that are looking at me from the top of the office fridge when I saw your post. So if you can persuade me not to eat it then I'm in!

I had my first weigh in last week, I am a fat bird and have 26 points.managed to lose 4lbs in my first week.

bibbitybobbityhat · 15/09/2009 16:58

I'd like to join a new weight loss thread but am not keen on Weightwatchers. Can I join anyway and do my own thing?

Also, am not prepared to post my weight (am not prepared to weigh myself actually ) - but apart from that am really keen!

My first goal: to get back into my Next jeans by my birthday (29 Sept).

Doesn't it make a difference when you go with someone.

colditz · 15/09/2009 17:06

Smaller jeans feel better than chocolate biscuits taste!

My friend that I used to go with got pregnant - and then after the baby we were all set to go back, until she discovered that at 26, she has cancer and

So I need online support.

SGM, I'm sure you were knocking around the last thread I was on, along with Fio.

I started this morning. Have 1 stone to lose to get back to pre pregnancy weight and another one if I get back to my original WW goal, I'm a gold member.

EyeballsintheSky · 15/09/2009 17:08

I gave in and I'm eating a chocolate biscuit....

..... a WW 1.5 point caramel wafer actually About a third of the size of a Tunnocks but it'll do.

bigTillyMint · 15/09/2009 17:11

Can I join? I started last week and lost a pound!

I want to lose 10 pounds or more which may not sound like a lot, but it is so hard to shift!

A friend of mine does 1 point days, she eats hourly but everyting is 1 point, so you always have something in your stomach.

Am not making a very good start.

Am absolutely starving (although I have already eaten quite a lot today) and shortly going out for meal to celebrate ds's birthday. I know what I'm going to have too (cover your eyes if easily swayed) fettucine carbonara. Oh yes. We are going to most fantastic cheapy Italian cafe where the pasta is just delicious.

Sorry about that . I'll be back tomorrow.

colditz · 15/09/2009 17:57

I have just had

150g prawns
30g soft cheese
100g dry noodles
peppers, onions and mushrooms
SOme curry powder
Juice of half a lime

All stirfried ip. 8 points - yummy/

However I am now on 19.5 points leaving 0.5 for the rest of the day, so early night for me tonight.

OP posts:
troutpout · 15/09/2009 18:42

I will join you if i may
Starting tomorrow
I also did it about 4 years ago and lost 2 1/2 stone. I have (ahem) 'lots' to lose.
1 1/2 stone would make me very happy

IsThisNameTaken · 15/09/2009 18:50

I'll join you as well please ... want to lose about 1.5 stone by Christmas. Have been doing WW online for about 3 months, started well then have had my leg in plaster for the last 9 weeks so have been sitting on my arse doing nothing!

ministryofsleep · 15/09/2009 18:57

I'll join too please - had lost 10lb on WW up to a fortnight ago - have been on holiday and fallen off the wagon big style - weigh in is tomorrow, I want to lose about 1-1.5 stones (depending on how mush of the original 10lb I have put back on )

EyeballsintheSky · 15/09/2009 20:13

Ooh thanks for that calculator, I left mine in the car. What would you say the points were for a slice of homemade bread? Would it be too much to double a normal slice IYSWIM?

colditz · 15/09/2009 20:43

I would weigh it and work it out by weight. all white bread has about the same points per gram.
