Does anyone want to start WeightWatchers with me?

I hate jumping into new threads ... everyone has a head start and they aren't all excitable about it like new people.

I lost 2.5 stone a couple of years ago, using WeightWatchers, so I know it works. Unfortunately in the last 6 months, a stone of it has crept back on and I'm really NOT prepared to be fat again. I weighed myself today, and am (gosh) 13st 1lb.

My points allowance is 20, my first goal is 12 stone 8 lb - who's with me!?

I started slimming world at the start of the year but it didn't work for me, as you could eat as much as you liked of certain foods so I urm just ate lots of everything!!!

I have been reading about the merina coil on another thread and have decided thats the reason why I am not losing weight so will book to get that taken out first!!!!

Ever the easy option, but I eat healthily so should not be as big as I am. Size 14/16

Salad was OK with the pasta and sauce - kind of camouflaged it

Eveing all, had a much better day today and have finished 3 points short. The bottle of wine I had bought for last night was so awful and corked that sadly for me that went down the drain. Had 3 spritzers in the pub but scallops and ratatuille which is very low points.

StrictlyBoogying · 20/09/2009 23:43

Stewiw - I'd love to know how you make your low point fajitas. I just had a wee look on the WW website and no recipe!

OK, I need to confess - seriously bad weekend (WW wise, that is. Had a great time!).
Am now 10.5 points over for the week so far . Doubt I'll manage to get all the points back over the next 3 days, but at least have made a start with rice krispies and skimmed milk for breakfast.

cilldara · 21/09/2009 16:11

Well, I have my weigh in this evening. Hoping for 2 pounds down. Dh had his weigh in at lunch time and was very disappointed to have lost only 1 pound, but at least it is heading in the right direction.

I do the fajitas like you StewieGriffinsMom. They are really yum.

Off now for a walk and then to change into my light clothes!!

Just back from a weigh-in, only lost a pound again this week, even though I have been really good. And I can't blame it on PMT water retention.... I have been doing loads of exercise (and not using the points), so maybe some of the flab is turning back into muscle after 6 weeks of couch-potatoing.

Now down to 18 points a day - it doesn't seem to go far enough and I've still got 8 pounds to lose

cilldara · 21/09/2009 21:32

Two pounds down for me! Got my first silver seven[proud emoticon!}

Try not to lose heart bigTillyMint. I wish I had only 8 pounds to lose It is 12 weeks to Christmas, so at a pound a week you will be at your goal weight in plenty of time to go shopping for something gorgeous for Christmas

andirobobo · 21/09/2009 21:56

Well done BigTillyMint (and your DH) and Cilldara - any loss is good!!

I weigh in on Wednesday lunchtime, and I know what you mean about wearing your light summer trousers, Stewie, I go in my work clothes so will be wearing the same ensemble every wednesday! I am doing a 5K fun run tomorrow so hope that will help with the weight loss - as long as I dont go to the chippy on the way home!!

Done ok this weekm but struggling to write it all down - I keep forgetting - I should use the memo function on my phone to keep a note.

I lost 4.5 pounds in my first week. So happy! Only a million to go.

StrictlyBoogying · 22/09/2009 08:52

Stewie, Thanks for the recipe. I'll try it out this weekend!

Buda · 22/09/2009 09:08

Hi guys - can I join in please?

(Am hoping I will stick at this better than Shiney's thread - couldn't keep up and the 10/10 thread - also couldn't keep up! Have also joined lots of other weight loss threads over the years and dropped out quite quickly.)

Sort of started WW yesterday. For this week I am just trying to get into the right mindset of lots of water and eating healthy snacks and having a healthy breakfast and lunch and not tonnes of bread/toast with lots of butter and jam.

I have 6 stone to lose. Ouch.

I would like to join WW online but as I don't have a UK credit card I can't. Pain in the bum. They don't take Paypal either as far as I know.

I have some old WW books so am planning on cooking from them.

Am out tonight but it's an Italian restaurant so I should be able to be fairly good.

FiveGoMadonTheDanceFloor · 22/09/2009 20:05

Hi BUda

Can get all the stuff tomorrow if you want as you are still having problems and post them to you and you can paypal me.

andirobobo · 22/09/2009 21:22

Buda - I have jsut thrown away a set of the current WW plan and folder as I have them again from this leader - typical! It is in the outside bin and I am not going rummaging, sorry!!! It is full of smelly nappies.

Strictlyboogying - wow what a weight loss! Keep up the good work!

Eaten well today - been on a course so limited snacking time, and a sandwiches platter for lunch - so I had 4 mini butties, cress and cucumber! I have done a 5K race tonight with work - that was fun ish!

Weigh-in day tomorrow - so hoping for a pound - was so tempted to go to Chippy for tea on the way home from the run, but I didnt! How good am I?

honie · 22/09/2009 22:09

.5 off this week. I'll blame big sis birthday and that I'm due on! Hoping for a better week next week but still happy to be lighter than this time last week!

Thanks FiveGoMad and andirobobo. FiveGoMad - I remember you offered to do that before for me - thanks again! A friend here has a credit card that goes to a UK address so she has volunteered to join for me and I will give her the money. Which is fab of her. I imagine her DH will be a bit as she is about 5 foot 11 and a size 10!

But at least then I can access it all on line and hopefully it will help keep me on the straight and narrow. Watch this space.

Mithered · 23/09/2009 07:15

Buda - good luck the WW online site is quite good. I like using the tracker on there

SGM - 3.5 that is brilliant! Well done. How many points are in Pom bear crisps - bet there aren't many. You could just have them as a treat. I can't have crisps in the house as they are my weakness.

I tried the creamy mushrooms on toast recipe from the folder yesterday and it was really nice. Just simmer mushrooms in veg stock then add low fat cheese and put on 2 slices of toast. Ground pepper and chives to top it off yum.

My weigh in is tomorrow and can't wait for it to see how I have done as been pretty strict

IsThisNameTaken · 23/09/2009 11:15

Well done to all those that have lost! I've been quite good this week after a very bad weekend, so hoping to at least have stayed the same for my weigh in tomorrow.
