alittlebitshy · 11/07/2009 18:10

getting myself on here.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 12/07/2009 10:12

Hope you had a good night at the frog racing sounds very interesting.

My dh was lookingforward to a takeaway last night, but he said he was that impressed that I had said no to one every time he asked me this week, that he decided to join me and have a pasta salad for tea instead.

He did however follow it with lots of alcohol.
I had about 750 calories left so I had a glass and half of red wine. First drink in weeks.

I have had 2 bowls of speacial k for breakfast though Or 1 big bowl!
Forgot to put my grapefruit in the fridge yesterday, so didn't fancy it warm [yuk]

cyteen · 12/07/2009 13:05

Been to second bikram class this morning, it was very hard work I spent quite a lot of it lying or sitting down, feeling rather faint That's fine though, it's normal for that to happen so they just say to do as much as you can do. Sweated buckets and certainly did a fair bit of the class, looking forward to going again

alittlebitshy · 12/07/2009 16:59

frog racing was so funny. basically wooden (flat) frogs with a hole in, with string though the hole. starting line anf finish line and you have the flap the string to make your frog move. quite tricky. I am sure some of the frogs were being deliberately onstructive. Mine even did a dance at one point .

RedLentil · 13/07/2009 21:09

Marking my place here to shift the last half a stone. I lost exactly a stone on the last thread, so very about that.

I see visions of TS every time I approach the fridge. Also that food focus site Sazzles uses is strangely addictive, mainly in prompting me to do lots of exercise.

DH is bringing back a Wii from England tomorrow night, so the plan is to stay as active in the autumn as I am now.

Hotter and Albs - what great progress! The Bikram yoga sounds really interesting too. Not sure there is a lot of that around here though ...

hotterpotter · 14/07/2009 08:07

Lost another 2lb, but that is mainly down to sweating I think feel like shit but at least I'm not hungry

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 16/07/2009 12:35

I hope you are all off living healthy lives, eating sensibly and exercising well, not just bunking off cos teacher's on holiday

Am expecting a good result tomorrow but through no good behaviour on my part, I'm just too tired to stuff my face, and the only exercise I have had is blowing my nose (a lot). Well, it will be worth it for a few lb off [not really]

OP posts:
cyteen · 16/07/2009 17:05

Off to bikram in a minute Now actually, must dash!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 16/07/2009 20:53

dropped of my thread list.
I am still here though, still doing well.
Weigh day tomorow.
I have had bread twice this week, but that is still great for me. (used to be at least twice a day) still no crisps or chocolate since I started and no cravings yet.

I think my reason for sticking to it and finding it ok so far is I am not saying I am on a diet, I am just saying to myself that I am cutting down, making healthier choices and not snacking....
So if I want chocolate or crisps or chips etc.. then I can have it, but my desire to lose weight is stronger than that 2 min craving.IYSWIM
I have never felt or been this focused before.

Even dh is following suit and he is a healthy eater anyway.

I have not been that good on the excersise front this week though.

hotterpotter · 17/07/2009 09:28

Cyteen you must be enjoying Bikram, can you feel it doing you good?

No1 you are doing really well. Hope the weigh-in gives you good news! I too am amazed at how I've been sticking to the plan, 8 whole weeks now and am still steady away with the loss, hurrah

In fact, I have lost 4lb this week, although can't really take any credit for that, but I have now lost 16lb altogether I've just looked up on the BMI thingy and only 5lb to go until I'm nearer to normal than to obese

Excellent progress girls!

hotter I love the bikram and can definitely feel it all over [ouch] Last night's class was fantastic. Shame it's relatively pricey and I am quite poor Oh well, think we're going to try and sort out our finances over the next few weekends so if I can budget for one class a week I will be happy. Would like to do more but once is better than none.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 17/07/2009 10:32

Well done hotter that is amazing
Shame you have been so ill though.

cyteen so glad you are enjoying the bikram, it sounds right up my street.
Off to google classes in my area.
can you get dvd's?
hard to motivate with dvd though I find.

cyteen · 17/07/2009 12:51

I don't think you can do it via DVD as it relies on a very hot room - think sauna. Plus you need the constant motivation from the teacher IME!

alittlebitshy · 17/07/2009 13:47

la la la la. refusing to weigh. Twas my birthday and the foodie celebrations continue into tomorrow, so, er hunm, i think i'm on a slack week.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 17/07/2009 17:58

lol albs I havn't had chance to go weigh today. but I have had steak, fries, onion rings and mushrooms for tea, so....

Before that I munched on 2 breadsticks dipped in philli light. that will teach me for leaving tea too late.

I will also be indulging in some alcoholic beverage tonight. Not had any for ages, and after my week and day today I am ready for it.

wonder if sazzles will be showering us with booze tonight from her trip.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 17/07/2009 17:59

cyteen I am not that good at being hot. I can stand about 5 min in a sauna and then I can't cope.
I can do the steam room though.

You haven't been bad, you've been to France Don't beat yourself up, no matter what the scales say, and I bet it won't be too bad anyway. Just get back to your healthy ways without feeling guilty and you'll be fine

VintageGardenia · 18/07/2009 08:23

Sazzles welcome back (part 2!). I have been sadly missing from here since you've been gone but have not sinned too badly I think in the interim.

Bikram yoga sounds grrrreat.

16 lb is fantastic hotter, sorry that 4 of that came during illness .

We are having picnic today with tons of food so won't be a great day but tis a celebration! Am not that interested in food at the moment, actually, unusually for me, not sure why but hey I'm not complaining!
