WOW well done Sazzles and Hots! That's really brilliant from both of you! Sazzles 4.5 is amazing!

I am .

I am just one more pound down. Sigh. Do I have the SLOWEST weight loss on here... ??? Still, so long as it's all down, down, down. Off walking now, 3 miles today though is pishing rain.

Brilliant loss, ladies. V impressed.

OMG do I have that much of an alky reputation Actually wine o'clock is 9pm in the hotter house, otherwise I would drink too much and suffer badly tomorrow. 27 minutes and counting... Sending you a virtual though Sazz, enjoy your wine

VG 1lb per week is slow but like you say it is in the right direction. Even at that rate you could lose another 1.5 stone by Christmas

I won't tell that I found a half-price tiramisu in M&S this afternoon and DH and I had a double portion each (600 calories) , was yummy though, even DS enjoyed it. Please do not dob me in to social services for giving my baby food laced with marsala wine [hoping it makes him sleep]

No chance of bedroom action when booze has been consumed, can't be arsed Am not too bothered by calories though as only had my bowl of cereal, 170 cal salad and an apple before I had chicken pasta and a bit of tiramisu for tea. Plus I think I burned about 500 cals with nerves today so ner

I think it went OK, just depends on whether the other interviewees were blinding or rubbish I guess. It's good practice whatever happens, and definitely a bit slimming with all the adrenaline pumping

Hots I do agree stress burns calories but there has to be an easier way! Hope it works out.

I ran 5K before breakfast! Not v gracefully though!

Sazz it depends how you look at it - it's true that I am lighter than you, but then I am also only 5'2! And no matter how much you want to lose when you want it gone you want it GONE GONE GONE! Anyway I am not giving up.

hotterpotter · 26/07/2009 14:18

5k before breakfast well doe VG that's really impressive Don't think I could run 0.5k, never mind 5...Next step is to begin exercising though, try and get some tone to my slowly dwindling flesh. Good job I'm married or I would never let anyone see my belly

Plus I have been really really bad this weekend started with the tiramisu, followed by chocolate biscuits and a doughnut yesterday afternoon then pringles and buttery toast after wine, and loads more toast today I just can't seem to resist, idiot, but at least it's clean slate again tomorrow and hopefully not too much damage done.

Off for a walk now up to Sandal Castle, might burn off a slice of toast's worth of calories, unless there's an ice cream van there...

Also forgot to say before...Well done Sazzles on your 4.5lb return to form That's brilliant, and makes the croissant denial worthwhile

No ice cream -good- but some corner shop chocolate chip brownie instead -very very bad The stupid thing is, it wasn't even that nice but I carried on eating it anyway

Right then, I have got weighed this morning but am not telling because it was not good news although I am confident most of it is water retention from the excessive carbs yesterday. I am back on the wagon with a vengeance and about to have a small bowl of cereal

Sazzles thanks for my ticking off I don't mind if when you go into the lead as you are being so good all the time but I will continue to chase you Benny Hill-style

Oh I feel unmotivated this week.

I am going for a walk this morning & a run tomorrow & have had my ruby graper & coffee today but it is taking SO LONG and I thought I would be transformed before holiday and I am just a bit fed up . I am also really of you, Sazz & hots, for having such dramatic drops (I mean I am very VERY happy for you, really I am, but I wish it was happening at a rate of 4lbs a week for me too). I am eating really well but I think I still need to exercise more. I walk every day without fail, never less than 2m and usually more, but I think it's just standard for me & is not shocking my body in any way. The only thing I can think to do is up the running (I hate running but it needs to be something tough like that).

HEEEEEEEELLLPPPPPP. I have even been thinking about popping pills & looked at the Alli website, that shows how poopoohead (TM DS1) I feel.

VintageGardenia · 27/07/2009 08:13

Hotter good for you back on the wagon. You may have sinned but at least you sinned while exercising au walk.

Am feeling too rubbish to post on the "home" thread, wtf, I must be getting my period.

VintageGardenia · 27/07/2009 08:16

Sazzles are you swimming every day? Do you do 40 lengths every day? I am not a partic good swimmer so won't be emulating you but wondering if I need to run (shudder) every day.

Or maybe I need to run further, or slower for longer? My normal 5K takes me 30-35 minutes, and a 3-mile walk takes about an hour, give or take, depending on terrain.

hotterpotter · 27/07/2009 08:31

Oh VG I think you have got a bit mixed up over the last couple of my and sazzles weigh-ins. I only lost 4lb in one week when I had swine flu, and Sazzles had a big loss after she thought she'd put 3lb on while in France. I think we are both averaging 2lb per week - that is definitely my average anyway - and while that is more than 1lb is still not amazingly fast Don't forget you got in some size 12 jeans the other day I would struggle to get those past my ankles knees

How often do you run? 2-3 times a week should do it. I think the walking is good for general health but you really need to get a bit of a sweat on for weight loss I enjoy swimming and really hope to start again this week but I am a wussy breaststroker [ooer] and know I ought to do crawl to have the biggest impact, It's just too tiring

Sazzles I hope you have stuffedyourface had a little bit of Dizzy's cake

Two days of being good, it's weird how sometimes it's so easy and other times really difficult Am going to have to go some to lose another 2lb this week though, just 1lb will be OK and leave me 2 to lose to meet my target next Friday. Not sure about swimming either now, our boss is off with swine flu and feel a bit bad about finishing early or taking a big lunch break, not sure what to do.

Hope it's going OK VG and you have got a bit more running in

ALBS, No1, cyteen where are you????????

i agree, the more you are good the better you are at being good. You lose your taste for certain things, lose the habit of certain things, and don't want to undo your good work.

Dizzy cherie you are most welcome here, it's been going slowly for me and I am sometimes frustrated, but I am keeping it front of mind and chipping away at it. You look back on a week and suddenly it's two, three, and suddenly you're in a better place than you were a month ago, and you just keep at it. And it's not misery-making, it's happy-making and empowering. (Don't mind me at the moment though I think I am pre-menstrual, so ignore my posts of misery!)
